in the movie, in the bar room scene, it shows jack drinking jack daniel's whiskey. hmmmm. jack was drinking jack daniels. i don't recall whether the original novel showed jack drinking jack daniel's whiskey, but i do recall that the original novel said that the real name of jack was john daniel torrance. thus, we have jack daniel drinking jack daniel's whiskey.

The constant fade outs made it almost un-watchable for me. I think just cutting to the next shot, or cutting to black and then back in, would have worked great. I like how the transitions were in time to the music though.

unique decision with making it without voices, it works and it gives the creeps, but something makes me rate it just 9 out of 10, rather than a perfect score! nevertheless, good!
