I was a mechanic for Champion Air at DFW. We had a great maintenance crew, flight crew, and customer service crew. There will always be lots of memories. What a great aircraft the 727-200 is! Tom S.
Just wanted to say "thanks" for taking the time to put this video together - I had the chance of getting paid to fly one these at CA. Nothin' better than looking out the left side of the cockpit window - Erika
minnesotaman13's got the idea i live near minneapolis airtran stoped service to chicago, ata airlines quiet service along time ago before the went out of service and were about to lose nwa i flew champion air and its gone.
I´will cry....my dad worked for Champion Air, he represented Champion Air in Mexico, I´m from Cancun, and I will really miss the boeing 727, the sound was really incredible...my only memory of Champion, is my 3 little airplanes from Champion Air, :(
Champion's 727 were NWA 727 at one time. Where the h*ll are airlines in Minnesota going. Champion is going and I pray that the gov. blocks the NW merger.
As a former employee of 11+ years thank you for posting this video. I know many of the employees loved the airline and it will be missed. Stay tuned...many other employees are going to post more videos of the water gun salute we did for the last flight into MSP.
Any Pilots here from Champion Airlines? I have N678MG Cockpit Section in my driveway...no kidding! Plan to use it for a hobby B727 simulator.

As a former flight attendant with Champion Airlines I must say it was a GREAT airline, a TRUE family, and the most fun I have ever had at a job.
