@crimsonkng LOL! That's exactly what I was thinking. I shouldn't throw stones because I could stand to lose a good 50lbs, but come on, guys. Greg, too. Get a bit healthier. You guys aren't spring chickens anymore and we want you around a while longer.
Awesome!! Unbelievable! These guys are in their 60's! I've seen ELP a few times, Yale Bowl 1974, Hartford 1977, NYC Jones Beach twice and The Beacon Theater in the late 90's. They still rock, maybe not quite as furiously but very musical and harder than any contemporary band out there. Keith's new sounds are terrific as are Carl's with his new Ludwig kit, though I wish he'd add a couple of small toms like he had in the big metal kit he used in the seventies. Let's hope and pray Keith recovers.
Forty years ago I saw them twice in Boston, once in a large setting and once at the Music Hall. They were fantastic at both shows. Still one of my favorite bands.
Hi guys! Does anybody have the clip showing Keith on the theremin? I've checked all the videos here but no theremin at all! It would be great if someone could upload the "theremin clip". THNX A LOT!!!
fantastic! to be honest icouldn"t give a shite about so called "prog rock dinosaurs" getting too old or tired to do it anymore! i"ve loved E.L.P since 77" so for me this was one of the best moments of my life! and remember keith emerson has carpole syndrome, so he was extremely brave to go out and play with E.L.P again, obviously they had to slow down a bit for him, but what a show!! and the audio (2 cd set) is great too!
@kubrick681 Well, he's only 60... LOL!... I don't care!!! As long as he keeps rocking the drums as only he knows how to do, he can even take his pants off!!!
F*CKING TW*TS! DEF LEPPARD WERE ONLY ALLOWED TO DO 7 SONGS, BUT THEY WANTED TO DO 9, SO THEY MADE ELP LATE! SO AFTER 7 SONGS THE ELP CREW PULLED THE PLUG AND TURNED OFF THEIR AMPLIFIERS AND EVERYTHING AND SAID F*CK OFF TO DEF LEPPARD, SO CUS THEY WERE LATE ELP COULDN'T DO THEIR ONCORE PIRATES! AND AFTER THAT DEF LEPPARD STARTED A PUNCH UP WITH ELP! AND ELP CREW WON! NEVER MESS WITH ELP!
sorry for my bad french, i get so angry these days
@jimsieroto No Jim - you sold me an M102. Way too heavy to do this stage act with, man. Nope- that is my L100. Emo has borrowed it twice now. Last year for the Spinal Tap gig at Wembley and just now for the High Voltage Festival. I'll be using it myself on our Sussex gigs at the end of August...! Cheerz Bro.
@noddyspuncture Thanks for getting back to us on that. This High Voltage festival was almost like the first time I saw ELP at the Oval in 1972. Focus, Argent and Wishbone Ash on the bill that day as well. Sky Arts is supposed to be showing highlights of the festival. Not seen it anywhere on the 'net yet. Cheers. Jim
WHAT A SHOW !!!! We was stood right at the front from the time they let us in till they kicked us out.. Was so worth the aching feet and back. BEST BAND EVER. LONG LIVE THE KINGS OF PROG
We'v e all seen fantastic genious legends, great composers - i'd wish they'd bring as a new conceptual album. This was really a highlight! I was so glad my children saw them, too.
@FreshandMinty And who the heck are Transatlantic, may i know???? Sorry! I am an ignorant Southamerican... But yet I KNOW who ELP are!!! So i think your 'Transatlantic' couldn't yet cast any shadow over these 3 music giants, for little or NOBODY know who they are!!!! ELP is a Worldwide phenomenom!!!
Definitely ONE of the best concerts I have ever been to. What really amazed me is that they still play with the same skill and enthusiasm as they did 30 or 40 years ago. After this spectacular performance it would be a shame if it really was the final time. But we can still dream...
It was a really great night and ELP were awesome. Even with Keith's hand problems they still managed to put on an extremely entertaining show. They must have been absolutely insane back in the70s.
Aww, Id really hoped you also had the drumsolo from Carl Palmer! I were there aswell but didnt have the best place in the crowd. This was the absolute highlight for me, to get to se ELP live! My dad has played their music for me since I was a baby and I never ever thought I would be lucky enough to see them. The drumsolo Carl Palmer did was the best one I've ever seen live!! Amazing!!!
@Charoke Hey I missed filming the drum solo, was right at the front on the rail and was so spellbound with Carl that i forgot to film it! I too was hoping somebody filmed it! It was certainly a great day. Cheers for the comment
Simply fantastic - after all these years, they still put on a show not to be missed. As previously said, just a few weeks rehearsal time, and then this - awesome!!
Saw and met Keith & Greg last May when they came to my town of Houston..but this ELP reunion must have been a helluva climax! Yes, Welcome Back my Friends! Now I'm looking forward to see Carl in a few weeks when he comes with Asia...
I was there too! Thanks you for putting this video up!. ELP are just amazing. I am 24, but this took me way back in time to the early 70s. A decade I truly wish could have been alive!
Keith wasn't very "Nice" to that organ.

Well can't wait to see the whole show!
Must have been a real joy to see ELP again. I saw their first show at Madison Square Garden in NYC.
I was hooked by the Nice & Crimson but when they joined with the furious Carl Palmer, it was sheer exhilaration!
My fav band ever since till today.
Keith is the reason I started to play keys.
I do pray for at least one more tour!
Prog Rock is the most intelligent blend of music and finally as I predicted on the rise again!
Only ELP can really lea
