  • yeah id believe it an alky motor is crazy.

  • Whhat modifcations did you make to the engine?

  • HOW?????THE??????FUCK??????!!!!!

  • @ismokewead420 time and money, more time than money....

  • @ismokewead420 would you care to explain how the tach was wired?(if it IS reading actual rpm...)

  • @ismokewead420 my wired it. all i know is we are using a proximity switch to give it a signal, and its a regular V-8 tach, and it is confirmed with a Digatron that we now have hooked up.

  • @ismokewead420 my dad wired***

  • i have a ten horse kohler that will pull 10,000 rpm without a load on it. its a ten stock altered

  • @steveblaster200 nice, we had a 14 horse that would turn 10,500-11,000, gotta love those short bores.

  • But will it blend?

  • Where did you get the cam for that??

  • how did u hook up that tach??

  • whats done to that thing?

  • what all did you do to get some many more rpms I have an old 4 cylinder cublo boy I wanna make some more power out of but it doesnt pull any rpms

  • what all did you do to get some many more rpms I have an old 4 cylinder cublo boy I wanna make some more power out of but it doesnt pull any rpms

  • Where did you get a tac designed for one cylinder?

    Thanks!

    Gabe

  • do you have nitris , cause i was wondering why you were spiting gas out of the carb ?

  • @lstewart426 it's the overlap in the cam

  • How'd you wire a tach up to that? What kind of engine is it?

  • @droid873 single cylinder kholer used a normal v8 tack and a proximity switch for the pickup

  • @tylerhmmng i got a 66cc two stroke motor would this tac setup work it it also?

  • @tylerhmmng yea I hooked up a tach to my ride on, garbage picked it lol, works fine. Only thing is, it reads idle as around 1800 rpm, could this be right and red lines at 4100? Back lights fine and no lag.

Cold start idle is around 1500 rpm running bit rough.

Warm idle straight to 2000 rpm

Reads down to 800 before stopping when you slowly stall it.

Motor is a 20 year old OHV Briggs and stratton with periodic cylinder flushes with tranny fluid. Best motor ever and running strong!

  • @NorkiddExo the timing wire by the way is hooked to the back of the coil, I'm guessing thats right since it pulses with every spark.

Oh also when it gets to mid range (3000 rpm) it jumps like crazy!!!!

  • @tylerhmmng Proximity switch? Care to go into some detail about how you wired it all?

  • vtec kicked in yo!

  • i got 9000 with my quad

  • Yeah well mine leaks gas and catches on fire and pops wheelies and ruins my belt after every ride!

  • @cruesader12 that's... not good.... lol

  • i got 4500 rpm's on my 10 hp single and i feel bad for they man who went deaf setting the rpm's on this lol

  • @sgttroyer this is ungoverned. there's a bolt covering the hole where is was :p

  • @tylerhmmng oh i see lol i pull mod stock so i have a rpm limit but you pull pro stock single right

  • @sgttroyer i pull stock altered. wish i had a pro/super!

  • @tylerhmmng omg lol we got a 4000 rpm limit in out mod stock class lol they would catch on to you doubling the rpm limit lol

  • damn its a flat head too!

  • @superfunnyman123 FINALLY! someone who understands flatheads DO NOT turn 8800 RPM without some work...

  • @tylerhmmng damn right! looks to me like the over sized carb did the trick!?

  • @superfunnyman123 it's inly 1/16 (i think) bigger than stock. WAY more work than just a carb swap.. :P

  • Nice air cleaner

  • you dont got much of a cam in her...

  • @BigAppleRacing actually it is kinda big. 280 ish duration

  • @tylerhmmng Just high idle?

  • Slap a turbo on that bitch!

  • @cedartowndawg i like the way you think!! we actually have a turbo ;)

  • and also, what makes the rpm's drop so slow after you rev it?

  • @alecm94 spinning inertia of the flywheel because it is heavy.

  • you from Zanesville? Pretty sure I've been to you're shop if so

  • @redneckcubpuller we're not.

  • @redneckcubpuller z-ville rocks!

  • how hard is it to convert from gas to alcohol?

  • @alecm94 just rejet the carb

  • is that a model 100?

  • Is this a Cub 70 or 100

  • thats nothing i have a 5 hp briggs that turns 10500 rpm under load, a stocker will turn 8800 all day with no load on it , put a load on it.

  • Oh yea, mines better. It can mow the lawn!

  • @lotanota dang.. i just got owned.. :( lol

  • Ok I have loads of questions for everyone,

    I have a 28ci 12 Briggs.

    1. How do you strap a head?

    2. I have a stock flywheel will it blow up in that high rpm I heard I would on heymow but I think that sight is a money scamm

    3. I made my Owen bult cam and it runs well in my 11 hp cast iorn bore but I only lifted the sides not the top but if my flywheel won't blow up I'll buld the top and put it in my 12 hp

So tell me what you think thanks:)

  • @TheMitch1611 buy a head strap from midwest supercub, nichols performance, or any of the NQS dealers. they specialize in kholers, they are really easy to install pretty much idiot proof. GET A BILLET FLYWHEEL! depending on what class your running will determine what cam you use.

  • @tylerhmmng do you no where i can get a cheap billet flywheel? all the ones i foun is like 350 and i dont want to put much more money in it.

  • @TheMitch1611 used ones on Ebay try looking there

  • can you tell me how you hooked up your tach?

  • i would never run a puller without a air filter

  • put a fuking filter on it

  • @MrJamlad1 haha it has one now.. after we cleaned the mud around the valves...

  • @tylerhmmng haha thats funny when you dont run a filter its like taking sand paper to the inside of the motor

  • the autometer is not calibrated to single cylindr

  • How would you hook up an rmp meeter like that?

  • ha ha try 10k stoke briggs 18hp oposed twin ha ha it was so fun what i dont no govenor and max throttle befor she lost a rod :(

  • @dragata1 i bet that sounded awesome!

  • @tylerhmmng yea it did but when it lost the left rode it kept going i was like WTF and then it shuft off from low pressure

  • @dragata1 haha prob made a god awful noise when it let loose.

  • @tylerhmmng yea but when it broke i saved and got billet rods and a flywheel with a high tourqe starter it hasnt ran it 2 years its been under a trap with the moter open no rods no fly wheel put some fresh oil in it and some rubbing acohal and some rich gas it runs like a charm the achole was to clear out rust

  • @tylerhmmng lol we race in a lawnmower group..and one of our friends races in the fastest class...10k rpm usally max rpm would be 11-12k..sounds like a harley

  • do you think the owner would be willing to sell it?

  • @shaunk132 probably not.

  • now switch the tach to the correct setting for single cylinder and do it again...

  • @savagenomore it's calibrated for a single cylinder. there is no "setting" for them only 4, 6, 8 cylinders. have to send them back to autometer to get them calibrated.

  • hey tyler where do you pull any where around ohio ?

  • @cub7721 Pretty much any where within Ohio. Gone to Indiana before. Watch NQS pulls in Kentucky.

  • @tylerhmmng oh ok do u know how much hp its putting out? and man it sounds good

  • @cub7721 not a clue to be honest

  • @tylerhmmng do you pull at stoutsville ? sometimes ?

  • @cub7721 That's our "home" track

  • @tylerhmmng yeah i know you know lol i have the army green tractor

  • @cub7721 OHHHHHHHH!! hahahaha

  • @tylerhmmng we might paint it this winter but we aint sure that we r going to tho one thing that we r getting is tires lol

  • @cub7721 if your getting big tires plan on buying gears also... it's an expensive upgrade...

  • WHY !!! Must you use the word Retard to describe a person who may have made a bad choice.I have a son who is 12 that has a small problem in life .He is not as fast as the other children. When I hear the word Retard I just LOCK UP !@! Please PLEASE THINK before you speak ,You never know when one of GODS children are listen or is reading what you write .May God bless you.THANKYOU !!

  • Comment removed

  • @kidkick43 Or maybe you should stop being overly sensitive. If you have a problem with "retarded" that's a YP, not an MP. I also love how someone with a handle like 'kidkick' has the place to correct anyone.

  • so what block type is it? briggs or keithblack

  • The 2009 Yamaha YZ85, starting at $3,349, has 21.3 kW (29.0 HP) @ 12000 rpm & top speed +/-60 mph. Stock.......

  • @Clorox72000 holy crap! thats 6 hp/cube! i didn't think it was possible unless you have forced induction and nitro...!?

  • it beats xD

  • how much did you put into this engine?

  • @shaunk132 this is not ours actually. but ours. we spent 531 dollars. butt did ALL the work ourselves. and had many of the parts already in our shop.

  • know a single cykinder motor that is rated to turn 95 horse out on a dyno. its one bad ass motor. its a 16 hp block. rpm on it is much more than this turd could ever put out. cost to make this power around $5000. trator pulls in mo and it called rajun cajun. and driven by a woman. holds missouri state pulls fo two years in a row.

  • mower engine, not mowor, okay, let's see, stock bore and stroke, shave the head, shave the block, then that'll give you more compression, .330 lift isn't much, but with an extremely long duration camshaft, you could raise the compression up to about 13:1, you could also take the rod and piston and shave quite a bit of metal off of them to make them lighter, stronger valvesprings so your valves don't float at high rpm. port and polish the head also, and remove most of the piston skirt.

  • @Clorox72000 How are you gonna port and polish a flat head?

  • @Andyshemi LOL Easy same way you port the intake and exhaust runners on any 4 stroke. and I should apologize, I was in a bad mood, Tyler for 531.00 you did a GREAT Job, most of these are going for 2500.00-5000.00, Kudo's to you and yours, again I apologize.

  • @Clorox72000 Thank you.

  • @Andyshemi easy as hell they come right out

  • Dear Retards.....You can get an 85CC Two stroke motorcycle engine to run 15000 rpm ++++ 50 HP....which is only 5 cubic inch....Want 4 stroke..okay, I have a 510cc 4 stroke ktm that makes 51.5 hp to the Wheels....that's still only 30 cubic inches! How can you say this is awesome for an engine???

  • @Clorox72000 first off. this is a lawn mowor engine made to run at 3600RPM. and motorcycle engine are over head vale motors. they flow more air therefore more RPM/HP. this is a flat head. also we don't have a 1.5 inch carb like your 510cc would have. also, we have to have stock bore/stroke and only .330 inch valve lift. next time you comment. make sure you know what the hell your talking about.

  • @Clorox72000 50 HP my ass, not on an 85cc "Retard", My buddies little brother runs in the national extreme dirt track series for atv's and there is not a single 85 that runs close to 50 HP. Maybe 35 HP but thats no where near 50... Know your shit before u sit on the pot my friend.

  • @Clorox72000 i got an 18 hp command V twin 4 stroke putting out 38 hp. dyno sheets to proove. best part is mine is only running 4500 rpm. this is an awesome engine. he has a single cylinder kohler that is only rated for 3600 rpm. these have huge ass strokes. ur little piece of shit dirt bikes made in japan have a small stroke. that is why u can crank them soo much. you are an ass hole for even knocking this video.

  • so you can buy an autometer tach and send it back to them to calibrate it to work a single?

  • @bigmaaack yes you can

  • @tylerhmmng awsome, thanks

  • where (or how) did you get a tach that would work on a single cylinder?

  • @jacquestrap1 you can send the to auto meter to calibrate them

  • how much did it cost to build this machine

  • you can buy an engine for eh 6,000 ish, but to build one around 2,700-3,200 i think maybe more. but you have to know what your doin...

  • both

  • thats a big long power band. wht kinda power they making up there.

  • for an altered or a pro/super?

  • yep i've seen them. and they're makin the same at 7500 as 6900.

  • ya bull shit. you seen the dyno numbers? and ya i dont turn 6900 its up around 7500. what kinda hp they making at 7500?

  • @110GGG- lets see you turn 6900 all the way down the track. i'd bet all the money in the world that you can't and place well at the pull. Ya gotta turn 'em harder so they're at peak hp at then end where ya need it. And I know of at least 35 pro/supers who carry the peak hp up into the mid 7500

  • i really dont think there is any sense in turning an engine that hard. my 50 cube has been on the dyno and its peek hp is at 6900. there is nothing up that high in rpms

  • Comment removed

  • Is that a kohler?, if so what size/series?

  • yes it's a kholer k series 16 horse i beleive k341?

  • my bike is single cylinder and does 10,000rpm u fail

  • haha. let's see here. we are limited to stock bore/stroke, stock valve size, 1 inch venturi on carb, flat head. your bike is probly ohv. more air flow more RPM. im 16 and i know that. prob a flat slide carb. no restriction and prob bigger than 1". and also prob 4 valves. this has two. do the math before you post thing...

  • BJ: The fact is that this engine was meant to turn no more than 3600rpm stock. Getting it to turn this speed is impressive. Bike engines were designed to have high rpm. Get your bike to do over double than what it's meant to do, then say this is a fail.

  • THANK YOU! haha

  • @BJs4MePlz whats your bike a yamaha or maybe a suzuki? no kohler is gunna run as fast as a motorbike engine. u fail

  • Don't be so sure. we had a 14 altered turning right at 11,000 =D

  • holy shit lol. wouldnt wanna run it too long at that speed, be nasty if it threw the rod at 11 000. nice chunk of cast iron in your chest lol

  • we GRENADED a block coming off of a 5,00 rpm sweep. it sepperated where the jug and crankcase meet. lifters flew 30 ft away.. blew another block that dented 3/16" stainless. it was a brand new(to us)motor that never saw the track in our chassis.

  • @tylerhmmng if it came off where the crank case meets the jug you either didnt have the head straped down or it was a really big bore

  • @cublover128 it kind a came apart there but a little lower. and it was not strapped. it was our "weaker" motor obviously very weak

  • @tylerhmmng if your running high rpm you need to strap the head down or it has a big chance of comeing apart my 14 i have is only running 3800 rpm but just to be safe i want to strap it down but its pushing 30 hp it has a 18 hp cam its ported and polished the head is shaved the carb is bored out and the fins on the flywheel are milled down

  • @cublover128 our 16's are strapped.. they have to be they have 12:1 compression..

  • @tylerhmmng because you have the 0.330 lift cam in them i only have a stock 18 hp cam

  • i bet i could mow my yard in like 5 mins flat with that beast. needs a turbo that would be wicked sob

  • i can hear that cam that mother fucker is HOT!!!!!

  • is that a cub cadet 100?

  • i just jizzed in my pants!!!

  • ok, so, i have a stock K321 kohler and i was wondering, how high will it rev(no govoner), and how can i make it rev 8800

  • where did you get that tach

  • jegs or summit lol

  • What kinda engine and what hp is it???

  • kohler 16 hp block.

  • is that a stock block? if thats the max rpms you can get out of it it is cus i know a guy that runs 14 out of his but his is a aftermarket block based on the 16 hp. kohler cus you cant get over 95 out of a stock block cus the valves are to far from the piston

  • this turns more now. but we've gotten a stock 14 horse block to turn 12000-12500

not sure tach didnt read that high :P

  • can you post some vids of that, i want one of those

how much am i looking at here?

  • awesome, it is nice loooking

  • damn man thats nice

  • crank trigger?

  • points.

  • nice very nice tractor im working on a tractor but i cant find a Tachometer were did u get yours send me a txt 814-242-2569

  • check out midwestsupercub(.)net get rid of the parenthises

  • nice very nice tractor im working on a tractor but i cant find a Tachometer were did u get yours send me a txt 814-242-2569

  • nice cub i have a 102 that im going to pull it was my dads friends he pulls stock and modified im goin to put up a video in a few days

  • sweeet, little mortor work huh?

  • Looks like a Kohler engine

  • lol my old go cart has a 5hp briggs and stratton i took off the governer and it will run around 12,000 easy but fuel consmpson sucks it will burn a gallon in less than 2 minutes at that speed

  • Are you running a flat top piston or some type of dome ?

    Aluminum Rod or Steel?

    Nice either way.

    And what about the crank?

  • most of these engine's have a pop out piston aluminum 4 bolt connecting rod and a custom steel crank with knife edging and custom made cam's limited too lift but not duration and a1" carb venturi running on methenol

  • i built a 12hp puller for a stock class and we took it to a local pull where they didnt do any tech work b4 we took it to our club pull and we didnt kno how many r's she was turning and so i get on the track and im like screw it so i stomp on it and it sounded like it was turning 8,500 we had now clue what it was turning so it got teched and it turned out to b turning around 8000 a far cry from the 4000 we wanted.

  • with the carb looks like you need to put some new valve seats in there

  • U get that with long duration cams and even wrong ignition timing or lean mixture.

  • not very unbelievable, big block v8's can be made to turn over 9000 with proper work and you can make alot of tachs work on single cylinders

  • even a volvo B20 does that, stock! not saying they last very long if you du that:P

  • where'd u find a tach for a single cylinder???

  • thats my next project after i get done pulling in stock is to build a altered stock that can turn that kind of rpms

  • Can't beleive the R.P.M'S If I didn't see it and hear it ONE COOL TRACTOR!!!!!
