  • great short. really beautiful

  • amazing story. I cried

  • the 19 people who disliked this must be some cold hearted bastards!

  • that was wounderfull

  • Great film, I cried.

  • That is so wonderful. It made me want to be a Swedish.

  • I blubbered like a baby :,( this short film moved me.

  • Tbh, i found it fairly predictable, and it didn't really reveal anything particularly profound.

  • @VestriDeusEstMortuus It's obvious what happened...everyone knew that...but the mere emotion was what made it a great short...Unpredictable is not always great.

  • it was their son's heart. gave me goosebumps. there's a similar film by focus entertainment which stars Sean Penn, I believe it's called 21 grams. And another one, still by the same group, which stars Will Smith, 7 pounds (not so similar) but yeah, almost has the same theme.

  • I don't get it.

  • @jsquad192837465 did you watch the entire thing?

  • im void of words....

  • that was amazing

  • Fifteen people who clicked the dislike button, OBVIOUSLY can't find where is the like button.

  • we may not understand why life is so tough and hard. but there is always a twist in it from which you will find reason to love and go on.

the characters of this short film are talented and the ones who are behind the scene are genius. glory to God! ;)

  • outstandingly beautiful

  • it touched my heart

  • Beautiful. I won't lie. I had tears running down my face.

  • very awesome :|

  • Wow very touching!

  • This is really good. The director and scriptwriter for this is outstanding in their work from what you can see in this short film. I definitely hope to see more films like this. I had the goosebumps from watching this, this is one of the best I've ever seen.

  • extremely beautiful and touching, speechless

  • wow, i'm not sure i've ever seen something so simple, yet so profoundly amazing. what a beautiful mind the director must have... i still have a lump in my throat from holding back tears

  • It's very moving...especially the music at the end of the video.

  • This was at the same time extremely moving and heart-wrenching .Well done.I must admit i teared up.

  • Passing Hearts includes the physical level: Stephan to Daniel; and the subtle energy level: Daniel to Stephan, Eva-Lena to Daniel, Daniel to Eva-Lena, Lennart to Daniel, and Daniel to Lennart. Returning across the water, Daniel is glowing with a reinvigorated "heart".

The subtle energy also may have passed to you in the audience and deeply changed you if you were totally open, let go, and allowed existence to happen, even for a single moment.

    May you find unconditional love.

  • I love how shorts like these have a greater impact then long movies. Amazing and touching, so glad I subscribed to futureshorts.

  • I can't believe how gorgeous this film was.

  • Very beautifully delivered to us!

  • gorgeously done. make me cry... twice

  • It was strange for me because I did not read the description, but knew it after a few minutes... very gentle and beautiful movie...

  • wait no i found out its ok heart transplant yee im so fucking smart xD

  • how did he get the scar?,fucking beautiful film, loved it :)

  • We could see where it was goin' but who cares because it was wonderfully brough to us.

    Wow!

  • oh I love this short film. Brava to the director Johan Brisinger :D This makes my heart ache, in a good way.

  • That was wonderful.

  • What a brilliant film! I've always loved Swedish cinematography !

  • Wonderful film!... everything is very good.

  • A simple story beautifully told. I loved it.

  • Powerful story, beautifully done. Were you tempted to end @ 11:40? The scar, the touch, the mother listening to her son’s heart, and the farewell revealed the story so succinctly. Did the heart want to stay?

  • I cried. this is great

  • Keeps you interested in what the heck is going on.... and when you find out, you love it even more.

  • i see a 2.0 garbage cd there XD

  • amazing

  • Ok, subject here is emotional and that's sweet, but there is Author's obvious intention to clarify storyline at the near end, and that's the "twist".

  • What an amazing film ..... ;(

  • When did "twists" become the mark of good storytelling?

This is an excellent story even though it is predictable. I think viewers rob themselves of enjoyment of a lot of good material by holding standards not all material needs to live up to. Some stories have twists, some have morals, some bring tears, some make you laugh. None of these things by themselves make a good story, and you can have good stories without them.

  • Awesome. Beautiful piece.

  • Amazing

  • wow.. that was really good

  • Wonderful.

  • Great movie, 14 minutes is enough to tell a great story. Awesome

  • Very nice movie, but unfortunately very predictable because of the title :(

  • Thumb down

  • ahhh! goose bumps:]]]

  • Moral: sign up to become an organ donor. You can live on, in others...

I myself am on the donors list :)

And yes, tears at the end.

  • It's very sad ='( but I really love it

    awesome!

  • where else might one see THIS ?

    I ♥ FUTURE SHORTS !!!

  • 3:30 he looks like a heroin addict

Great movie tough, there's nothing better than European shorts!!

  • @Tolstoievsky sorry i meant to say 4:28

  • such an amazing clip.

  • That was a well structured story. All the cards weren't laid out on the table immediately in so the story was able to unfold slowly. You kind of get a since of where it is headed but there is still a journey to get there.

  • yawn...another slow tracking wannabe avant garde film about 'Deep' issues..shot & scripted predictably. I did enjoy the sound of the language though. A shame about the 'Feel something now' soundtrack. Im not knocking anyone elses opinion just voicing my own.

  • @Stereotype101 i thought so too the first half of the short. But the second part really ties it all nicely together

  • @Stereotype101 it's good to be honest but no matter how predictable it is you've got to admitt that it DOES reffer to a very important issue like how somebody's death can save someone else's life... the music just fits... i cannot think of something not similar to that ...

  • So touching <3

  • its excelent but to predictable.

  • @markobegus I didn't predict it at all. There's no way you can predict that this kid wants to skip school to go visit a parents of a boy whos heart he received??

  • @sweetbutdaring how can you not...hes lookin himself in the mirror at the begining...he gets out of breath after runing 5 meters...then the "ocourd hello" when they meet...i saw it commin all the way...everyting is good and all but to predictable

  • Mind blowingly good, acting,,story....emotional strength

  • beautiful concept, beautiful execution.

  • So good. Both story and photography. Just great!

  • didn't think a swedish film would get on here

very good one. tears at the end

  • appropriately labelled and had goosebumps in the end..!

  • my attention span is waaay too short for this. no offense to the movie, its nice and all.

  • I'm crying. That was so beautiful.

  • Tears...This is so good!

  • Stunningly beautiful.

It makes me wonder what sort if responsibility it must be to recieve an organ like that? The thought of having to make your life worthy of not only yourself, but also of the person whos organs you've recieved. There could never be a way to make the tragic loss of a child seem worthwhile to those parents, and yet because of their death you are alive.

Live every minute, and get yourself on the register, so when you can't someone else can!

  • So touching!

  • On the organ donor list!

  • beautiful

  • masterpiece

  • ...we cannot avoid our death...but we can make it worth something....

  • You know - having watched this video - that we can smash the evil pyramid with our hearts and minds!!!

  • @NeaFrea LOOOL wtf evil pyramid ??

  • Absolutely brilliant. Well done.

  • omgsh this film make me cry good job

  • That was beautiful. Makes me glad I'm an organ donor.

  • Excellant video! Very human and heart warming, with no pun intended.

  • fuck...just fuck...(but in a good way of course ;) )

  • cried my eyes out! excellent!

  • fuck. i guess i'll check the organ donor box next time i have to renew my drivers license.

  • Is it just me, or did the guy in this look like Kyle from LiveLavaLive?

  • I wish I could say alot but it was so great on a number of levels I cant seem to find the words to describe it. Strangely I think it being in another language added depth.

  • BRAVO,BRAVO,BRAVO!

  • What a beutiful film. Wonderful acting, wonderfully directed and filmed. Brilliant plot and story, very moving. Impressed !

  • tell me thats the kid from gummo

  • brilliantly made. thanks

  • goosebumps. everywhere.

  • I'm so mad because I watched the description first and it spoiled the whole thing. excellent movie!

  • Incredible! This moved me to tears

  • Beautiful!

  • Inspiring both on a Directional and Day-to-day basis. Wonderful.

  • Beautiful, moved me to tears.

  • Wow really moving everybody should become a donor if one death can help another live on then undoubtedly it's worth it. Great short video and a great message. I truly thank you for uploading it

  • wow... another stunner from futureshorts. some things are just beautiful in their simplicity.

  • Kinda reminds me of Searching for David's Heart. Even though this one is like 10x better. Very nice camera work.

  • i didnt quite get it. actually i didnt just didnt understand if the boy's heart was donated or if a heart was donated for him.

  • @Ycampus lmao "i didnt just didnt".

  • @Ycampus a heart was donated for daniel. stefans heart is in him. thats why the other family likes him so much. this sorta reminds me of seven pounds. (:

  • I really enjoyed how the standard shy kid trope was played off of in this. This is the kind of video FutureShorts should be posting more of.

  • passing farts.

  • omg this is stunning...just the best short film I've ever seen.

  • wow this is the first time i have ever cried after watching a youtube video. That was simply emotional and beautiful.

  • So difficult to accept that your son's heart can belong to somebody else for real.

  • that was good

  • Oh, what a movie, it was exellent, talk about the hunt of hope! :)

    Beautiful! (:

  • Wow.
