You are doing a wonderful job. I have watched several of your videos and you are matching Neil just about note for note every time. I too have been learning Peart's songs as I have no band to perform with currently. You mentioned that you set a goal to learn 100 Rush songs in a year. That is amazing! It takes me a month or more (one or two nights a week) to learn a single tune. Keep up the good work. You mentioned in a video about emailing you personally. How does one do that?

If you're careful, you could play Red Barchetta with three toms, two crashes, hi hat and ride cymbal. Whatever resources you have in terms of instruments, just use your good judgment to make it musical. When I first started, I had a four piece kit with one crash, ride, hi-hat and I STILL attempted to play Rush. Just use some judicious accenting and you can make it sound good. Good Luck!
