  • I learned more from homeschooling four hours a day for a year than I did 8 hours a day in a public school for a year.

I loved being home schooled. I learned useful things, the history was great, and the science too, despite it being very religious. Home schooling made my education fun.

A fight broke out at school today. Fifth one of the year. Many people talk crap about me. A group of girls started bullying my friend by shoving her around and getting on her case. Many more reasons I prefer HS.

  • im glad i quit that horseshit!

  • I completely agree with you man. I'm 13, and we don't have school uniforms, but I still agree with you on that. They need to change the education system to be more engaging and social. It's so BORING just sitting there doing Algebra, abiding all those POINTLESS rules. "NO GUM!!!" "Why?" "You might stick it on a table." -.-

  • loved it man This "education" is corrupt!

  • I completely agree with the idea that school is meant to create workers who conform to the rules and do whatever they are told. It's fucking ridiculous.

  • the point of school is to teach you to think

where did you come up with the idea of talking about this, from thinking

yes i agree, school hours are long, dress code is pathetic and teachers can be bitches but past that their teaching you to think.

i scrolled down and @darkwolfstudio says we learn pointless bullshit, and actually you use it in a lot of modern day society

also there is many different subjects because school is letting you explore so choosing "jobs" will be easier in the future

  • @silverknight139 teach us to think? human beings are the greatest learners on earth. i hope you don't believe we actually need school to learn to think, like we're not thinking before we go to school. and when do i use parts of speech in real life? I'm a grammar freak, and i don't even use them in real life. school socializes children to think collectively, is all. letting explore? really, that's how you view school? a fun, free, ooh let's explore type environment? compulsory education's immoral

  • @silverknight139 exploring?! i dont know which school you went to but i went to a school filled with restraint the thing was is that your gonna learn this weather you frickin like it or not so the world can change well the jokes on them because curiosity is the foundation of knowledge and with out it the world cant change and there is no exploration in school and no curiosity what so ever

  • lol mayb u guys r just 2 dum 2 do da work!!!!!

  • Im just going to say this but, i learn more watching 1 hour of the following channels ( HISTORY/ DISCOVERY/ MILITARY/ SCIENCE channels ) than i do in one week of school. School is just review.

  • I'm learning things I learned before again! :D

  • If you want to be a scientist ,matematician learn algebra .But i don't fucking want to be either of those ,we should learn what we will actualy use in our jobs . I'd kill the one who invented school if i had a chance

  • The only thing a school is good for is if you wanna be a teacher

  • The most pointless subject is History :P

  • no its not

  • thats why i'm homeschooled lol and its quiet, peaceful, and u can get up later than the public schools do..and most imporantly, you being TEACHED!! lol

  • We don't need no education, we don't need no thought control.

Seriously, we spend more time "learning" worthless bullshit than we do actually gaining knowledge.

  • @DarkWolfStudio George sampsons song is true, He is my idol!!!

  • i hate school

    Fuck school!

  • 5 hours??

    We get fucking 8 hours

  • we get 7!!

  • @JusBeCuzz

Move. Where I live, we get 6 hours.

  • Schools don't exercise social skills that you'll ever actually use again.People criticise homeschooling as being bad for social skills but that's been proven wrong, their social skills are better and they're used to interacting with ALL age groups in COMMON ADULT situations.Schools are artificial environments with artificially constructed relationships such as the 'pupil-teacher' relationship which you'll NEVER have with another human being again, so why the emphasis on getting it right.

  • except for colledge, jobs and business.. other than that no :)

  • The pupil-teacher relationship is not like any of those relationships. With your boss or lecturer, giving additional information to them about something that's happened is important. With a teacher, doing that is called 'answering back' and is said to be rude. Most people don't have to stand when their boss enters the room either. So what's the point of learning those stupid rules and developing those stilted, artificial relationships. I certainly don't treat my lectures or bosses like that.

  • " With your boss or lecturer, giving additional information to them about something that's happened is important." it is important at my school also. if you are not from usa we might be taling about different things. countrys are different so ur schools most likely are too.

  • And yes, the stats a a bit off, so the difference would be even greater. Minimum wage is higher than $8 now, sorry.

  • $14,560(Yearly) Minimum Wage($8.00) 35 hours a week. Average.

    $50,000(Yearly) Entry Level Job($27.00) 35 Hours a week. Average.

    About 18200 Hours in school

    K-12,(50,000-14,560 = 35440 Every year in school x 13 = 460720 Dollars

K-12 = $25.00/Hour JUST FOR GOING TO SCHOOL...

    think about it.

  • 8 hour in the us!!! :p

    ugh its exausting

  • This is why democratic schools, deschooling, unschooling should replace the system.

  • lol u have jonathon woss syndrome

  • agreed :)

  • I completely agree.

Schools are the definition of conformity.

What if I don't want to have the same exact 9:00-5:00 job as everybody else, school system?

  • school sux

  • Homeschool rocks!

  • I have to agree with Kalot. I'm sure that there are better ways, but homeschooling is extremely biased. The parent is just not a professional. Especially with picky issues such as Global Warming, Religion, and all that. I'll do a video response to this video tomorrow, and maybe we can discuss this.

  • Why do you need to be a "professional" to know how to educate your children? And what bias will a homeschooler have, that a teacher doesn't?

  • @TCPHumanist AGREED

  • school isn't about grades, how are some damn stupid grades gonna help me in a job as an actress!!!! I mean drama grades will but how is a history grade gonna help me in the preforming arts?! and uniforms r nessersary to some extent but most schools in the uk take it too far.
