It's difficult, and the learning curve is steep. Start with Google SketchUp. When you're comfortable with that, buy a book on using Blender (I bought The Essential Blender). Then download the program, read the book, and watch some tutorials on YouTube. Super3Boy does some good ones. I hope that this helps.

this looks more like blocking, rather then a final animation. it's a good start, i would go back and smooth things out. like KlemmerV mentioned, it's a bit jerky. his body freezes altogether near the end. you describe it as a test, so perhaps this is a far as you want to go with it. but a real test would be to clean it up and make it as final as you can.
