zero point energy is a hoax. I think it's much better go for things that can work than waste money on hoaxes. Trust me - I have a Ph.D. from MIT. The concept of zero-point energy derives from quantum mechanics, and it is absolutely impossible to harnass. You'll have better luck making a perpetual motion machine.
I don't need to know "everything" to know a hoax. A basic background in phsyics makes it *obvious* that zero point energy is a scam. But don't take my word for it. Ask any physics professor at any top university.
