@LearningDrummerSam Could be a force of habit. When I played timpani a lot I found myself trying to mute my snare every now and again.

i practiced the double stroke roll for months and now that i've got it, my left hand forgot how to play singles... guess i'll have to start again

Man it feels so weird just using your fingers, I didnt know you had to use your fingers, Its so hard to go that fast just using your fingers aswell, you sir are amazing. Ill keep trying, but the stick just slips away from my thumb and I keep using my arms instead of my wrist for some reason
