how do you put up with NJ gas jockeys? theyre so rude, they hardly understand english, and most of the time they dont screw your gas cap back on all the way.. I refuse to buy gas in NJ.. Every time I have to go through it, I keep a gas can in my trunk just because the jockeys make me wanna get violent

i just found out today that new jersey and oregon dont let people pump gas and i thought that was so cool that you dont have to get out your car to go pump gas. But i guess its a good thing to know how to do it if your ever caught in this situation

Yeah, it's illegal to pump gas in NJ. A friend of mine took a trip there once and had a guy yell at her when she started doing it herself. She didn't realize it was illegal haha. But it's illegal because NJ knows people often drip gasoline on the ground, which is very dangerous if a fire ever started somehow.

haha im from atlantic city born and raised but my whole family from philly so i pump my own gas almost everytime im there and its really not hard lol. but being from jersey i can understand how some people would have a hard time with it since they never did it before.

regardless of whether it's legal to pump your own gas in NJ or not, this is ridiculous. it's not hard to figure out... for one thing, almost every screw-top turns counter-clockwise to open, and for the rest... I expect them to know how to put something into a hole.

was able to do this with no prior observation/teaching at age 12, pumped it for my dad... but what do I know? I'm just a stupid country boy.

the worst part is I'm moving to jersey for college in the fall...
