haha, "because it's important to stay in time, that's our roll by the way, to say in time", johnny rabb, ur the friggin fastest drummer in the world, time and speed? it's possible, but it doesn't quite add up
if you buy this, you're either a complete beginner, or a complete cheapo. No room for expansion, very little built-in kits (6 I think), can't use a real bass pedal. Spend a bit more money and get the Roland TD-3 or something. MUCH better kit.
If you were just going to play occasionally, I would DEFINITELY suggest it. It has everything you would need, including a mesh-head snare, which is an added bonus. But if along the line you wanted to really progress with it, I'd recommend going with the TD-3, has room for a cymbal, so you could add a china or splash cymbal, has around 35 built-in kits, MIDI in and out, AUX in, so you can plug an iPod or whatever into it and listen to music and drum to it, all through the headphones.
You suck. It's not 6 kits, but 10. And who would need a real bass pedal when a professional one is added standardly to the kit? I got this kit last week and ive been drumming for 10 years. its great!
@Ideaboy13 This kit can suck ass. It has only 10 kits and it doesn't even have bass pad. Try Dtxplorer. If someone say HD-1 sounds better than Dtxplorer, they're just ignorants and e-drum noobs.
Dtxplorer can be sound better because you can tweak it, a lot. Unlike this thing.
Does anyone know if this color coded pad trainer comes with the HD-1 and if not is there ANYTHING like it avaiable for traing. like an interface that shows you what pad or cymbal is being struck during song playback???
check out my video please, if i get a good reponse i will post some covers :)

is this good for an absoulute beginner?
My dad (believe it or not!) wants one of these
i play bass and have never played drums and he's never played drums either
so we are both total beginners
so is this good for some one who has never played before?
Thanks!

That last detail, about the AUX. The HD-1 has it as well.

hey does this drum set have a set where theres 2 crashes and no ride?alot of songs i like have 2 crashes(for the hd1)
Quency25 2 years ago
I don't believe so, no. This is just a basic 7-piece set e.g. hi-hat, snare, 3 toms, crash and ride.
