Amazing zoning skills by Watson. God, makes me miss HF alot. I enjoyed watching this match a lot because you can clearly see both players thinking and scheming pretty hard. Watson's skill level with zoning was just too high for Rog to get in.

Game isn't perfect, some characters will have an advantage over others, This has already been proven a character can have an advantage over other certain characters, it will gives them a higher chance of winning you can not deny that a character can most likely have an advantage, or a big advantage. Remember if you beat a saget doesn't mean anything they can just be noobs you have to find someone with the exact same skill levels as yours or close to it and than test it out.

and for the people who think sagat is overpowered i will take on any challengers who want to use sagat and i will play balrog or ryu vs you just to prove a point. skill level will overcome a characters advantages in almost every case unless the match is so lopsided that a trained a monkey could just spam 1 move and win. if you wish to learn i can help, if you wish to just complain and be moronic then obviously you are hopeless and have no intentions of improving.

When 2 Pro Faces each other, with exact same skill level, the better character will win. You don't just don't call out noobs, you got to first check and see if they're the same skill level as you THAN let that person pick Saget and you'll see he'll alway win. & No don't pick Ryu hes basically near Saget in ranking, go with balrog.

thank you to the people who are actually taking the time to explain whats going on here. i seriously try to help people learn and figure out whats going on but apparently there are many people who refuse to listen and just because someone doesnt play a certain way or doesnt play a certain match in a manner of excitement they become hated on? get real guys. the whole point of sagat/balrog is for balrog to get in and sagat to keep him out. why is this concept so hard to understand?

ur right mike and it should be hard to figure that but I guess most ppl just like to dive in and combo crazy but sometimes you have to play smart when dealing with balrog, I main cammy and if i'm dealing with a good balrog player...I can't just dive in with crazy combos all the time...Balrog has one of the best pokes in the game

For people who think Sagat is 'cheap'. There's a strategy with throwing Bolts. There's a difference between zoning bolts and spammng bolts. Watson was zoning really well with his bolts, keeping Gooteks at bay, where as if he was just spamming bolts, Boxer would have a easy chance to rush down and defeat Sagat easily. This is not the case though, since Watson was able to keep Boxer at bay by timing bolts really well. Almost all hit bolts connected to either chip or get dmg. Timing is everything.

I really don't get how the commentators can compliment Sagat on any of those plays except for the fact that he was winning. I mean, I don't have anything against Sagat players, obviously it takes work to do well with him against the likes of Gootecks, but moving as far back as you can and launching tiger volleys and using standing HK when they finally come in may be "great use" of Sagat's moves, but in all seriousness, is there a single person who plays SFIV who CAN'T do that?

I think Gootecks needs to really consider a secondary character. He plays great but the only problem with Balrog is a defensive Balrog gets pretty predictable. Gootecks needs a counter character to deal with Sagats because whenever he plays Sagat players he's always on the struggle or just being pressured all the time.

erm, u got to hard or medium headbutt(to get in range) then ultra thru second one, but sagat is not dumb he dont do the second fireball in range so that gootecks cant reach him on ultra, watson moves back or only does fireballs at certain range
