I love The Lord of the Rings, but you people have to understand that Tolkien got almost all the creatures from Norse myth, but he did make it as popular as it is today and he did basically put the fantasy genre out there more. So i credit him as the greatest fantasy writer until some one brings him back with the Nercronomicon.

well its just a different part of Moria, its a huge underground Dwarven city, right, nd in the LOTR book and film we only witnessed a snippet of Moria. i guess all the game developers ave done is made teh rest of Moria.

u can say any MMO is a ripoff off WOW since WOW incorporates what is standard in any gd MMO. LOTRO is still around 2 years after its release and its population is increasing. Ive met plenty ex-WOW players on LOTRO, those who are still low-lvl say WOW is better, while those who have reached high-end gaming say LOTRO is better. depends on the person I guess

the thing i like about lotro is that it seems to be above the mmo flame wars. theres wow flaming away at warhammer, warhammer at eq2 etc. and the lotro community seems to be either more mature or just oblivious. they have a nice decent sized community going just minding their own business.

Well if you want to get technical WoW got them from Warhammer since the original warcraft was made to be a warhammer game but the licence fell through so it was reworked into its own thing. Warhammer most likely got it from LOTR though so you know only one degree of seperation I guess

conquest is an action game for some quick fun, this entails months and even years of gameplay, theyre two diff genres. Conquest is an RPG, LOTRO is an MMORPG< the first 3 letters making all the difference (Massive Multiplayer Online)
