I have CS5 and the blood spats i got from there stay white and when i choose screen on blending mode it just lightens it so much to where the blood isn't visible anymore. I do the same thing with muzzle flashes and it works out great! Please help.
@NickSandlinTV Yeah, screen works better with things like muzzle flashes. You might just duplicate the footage, that sometimes works. Color burn might be an option too.
I've watched part 1 and part 2 of this tutorial and it's a great tutorial. If there was a little more blood, shell ejection and a little blowback on the gun. This effect would be 100%. Great job.
i tried to do the multiply layer on a detonation film clip that is black and i cant get the background to go away, it worked on the white backgroounds tho. Any suggestions?
Thank you very much for this tutorial! I have been wondering what blending mode to use with Detonation Film's blood. Chroma Keying, Screen, everything, but you solved my problem!
In the Timeline panel is the Modes column. If you can't see it, right click on the title bar for the Timeline panel and choose Columns > Modes. Set the Mode for the relevant layer (dropdown, should be 'normal' by default) to Multiply. Done!
