  • @traxamas The reason he coughs up green is because Nintendo thought red blood was too graphic so they replased it with green

  • @traxamas You must have the silver cartridge, I had the gold cartridge and it was red blood for me.

    Also this person is awesome :O I could never play a game this well without using my eyes.

  • I could imagine how hard the castle escape was. Dude. You have just made a new challenge for everybody and have made that Zelda light shine even brighter in all of us by doing this. Do you plan to take the other Zelda games on? If you are I'm willing to help you on them or any other game that you might have in mind. That is if I've played it. lol

  • One more thing though, there's something I've been curious about. I know there's a sound when Link's health meter's almost spent, but do you need to have someone spot for you on maintaining his health meter? Or maybe his magic meter, since hearts make a sound that you can count?

  • Well the scripting group knows how many times they have me use magic in a dungeon, so they know about when I need to go fill up. Furthermore, I can always cast din's fire over and over, count how many times I'm able to do it to give me a gauge of how much I have left.

    As for health you get to know about how much damage something does to link based on how loud a yell he makes.

    Fill up as often as possible and these problems don't occur.

  • I remember seeing your boss battle videos a while ago, and am again drawn to just how cool this is, depending completely on sound to interact with a video game environment. It's like Link is blind, and we're seeing how he'd react and adapt (striking walls to get his bearings, etc).

    Great job on my favorite boss battle. You cleaned his clock!

  • If I were actually link having to navigate hyrule in real life, in person, I would probably use maybe a deku stick as a cane. At least it'd tell me where big ledges/ droppoffs and other obstacals are.

  • I noticed in a couple of your videos you have them jump a lot. Is that an idea with your scripting team or does it just feel more comfortable for you to do that?

  • The side jumps and backflips are measurable (consistent) movements, that's why we use those and count them.
