Doctor seems like a rude prima donna, what's wrong with asking politely? I thought it was meant to be the 'Bullingdon bully' Cameron that was rude but he behaved admirably here. On the doc's part it was obviously just an opportunity for five minutes' fame anyway, otherwise he wouldn't have made such a show of it.
This is the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, getting told off by some prick doctor with a stick up his arse. I cant see that happening to Obama.
This is not a left wing Doctor its a professional person trying to care for his patient and these buffons just march in for a photo opportunity, this is not playtime Cameron, Clegg and Lansley. They would not know a good patient outcome if it was staring them in the face. God Help us!
@bobbyberger Clearly a doctor who actually gives a shit about his patients and doesn;t appreciate unhygenic camera equipment being dragged around his ward and scum bag pricks intent on privatising an NHS that belongs to the people trying to use cosy censored chats with sick people to win votes.
People are sick of the conservatives which is why after destroying peoples rights we'll be offered UKIP as an alternative. Same stuff different name. Wake up. (and my name is a joke psychics don't exist)
Christ, imagine waking up from majorly invasive surgery, having left some on-the-turn body part to pickle in a jar, and the first thing you see is that pair of almighty cockwagons looming over you.
Listen to Cameron, he says "I agree, we've all taken our ties off".. The guy's kickin off because they've all been told to dress smart when Cameron's got no tie and his shirt unbuttoned and sleaves rolled up to suggest he's just popping in during his spare time!
@DementedWorkshop actually its an infection control matter, his problem was with the fact the camera crew were not "bare below the elbows" and were wearing long ties. Its measures to stop MRSA.
Typical dr's thinking they are above everyone else LOL. I work in a hospital and the dr's are the ones that NEVER obey the ''bare below the elbow'' rule. God Save the NHS
Utter bullshit. they don't all walk around with their sleeves rolled up. I was an inpatient at UCLH not that long ago. That doctor was just showing off.
The NHS is facing an onslaught. One from governments' pretending to "love" the NHS - whilst selling off increasingly large parts of it to their "chums".
But there's a greater threat and that is from inside the NHS. Society has changed. Since Thatcher many have become individualistic and that includes SOME who work in the NHS.
They don't want the NHS at heart - they want the "free market". This poses the greatest threat to NHS because these individuals withhold true commitment and service.
@telemetry9 I agree with you. However the medical profesion has also cahnged. The dr's salaries have bloated and their hours are cut. it is no longer a vocation, it is for personal gain only.
Good on your GP he told those 2 arseholes were to get off. These things are just pathetic publicity stunts because these prats politics are cutting health spending and not investing in it. I'd chucked a bed bans over them.

above the elbow, no tie, one wedding band only rules apply to everyone in the hospital in clinical areas- whether you are working with patients or not so Mr Nunn was right. trust me.
There is no policy for VISITORS attire in the NHS unless it is a specialised ward, which this wasn't. Cringing photo op plus highly strung doc = thirty nine second of video gold.
I've visited many patients in hospital and never been taken to task for what I was wearing. The consultant was being a dick. The staff have to dress like that to prevent contamination when working with patients. The cameramen etc are not touching anyone. Cameron actually was dressed 'correctly', so why have a pop at him?

@KilljoyErin It's a serious matter, the extra clothing is receptive to infectious diseases and pathogens such as MRSA, ones that could kill the patients they visit. A warning heeded in the highest manner.
Trumped up nurse? The man was an orthopaedic consultant, expressly in charge of the patients on his ward. He therefore has the right to be pissed off when a publicity train rolls through thinking that they're exempt from the rules.
what a cheap trick it is for this trumped up nurse to try and embarrass our Prime Minister, just to claw a little publicity for himself Crawl back under your rock!
@NeonLyfe no mate, i watched the video and the tie thing was david's instant spin attempt, the doctor clearly stated that they were too close to the patient! did you watch it??
@iliketha No... Notice how when the people with ties and such with the camera came in, the doctor chases after them and complains that they've just walked in. Geeze...
@EatBadger firstly, the doctor didn't say anything about ties. Secondly this footage has been edited so that the doctor's full rant can't be seen, so unless you know what went on in between, there is no way you can make that assumption. If you do believe the only issue was the ties, you may be right, but are basing that 100% off what David Cameron says, and he clearly has an interest in portraying it that way, so can't be trusted as a source.
Cameron is just finishing the job that thatcher could not.....Destroy the nhs and sell it off like every public service this country had.Richer richer.. poorer poorer.. We have old age pensioners freezing to death because of fuel poverty and this idiot is happy to let it continue..?broken britain..

"That is the greatest Prime Minister since Margaret Thatcher and his deputy being told off by some trumped up "senior nurse"."
Don't you dare put a hardworking member of the NHS in quotation marks below this opportunistic, over-privileged scumbag. The tories are hell bent on destroying all the good work they do. The only disgrace is idiots like you who can't shake off the naivety of blind faith in authority figures.
Next time you're bleeding to death, take it to Number 10.
but they also have to supply more grants to low-income houses. I don't agree with these changes at all, but it doesn't entirely mean people are being priced out of education. However the middle class are being severly screwed because they wont be covered by said grants.
@Eggyrocks1 Brainwash is a strong word. Although you're right that tax payers will have to pay University fees that aren't payed they'll be passed on to the tax payers. You didn't really tackle that jamesholdworth 15 was saying, so ill rephrase his answer. Yes fees have gone up. But this doesn't mean that people are being 'priced out' of education. Because in with conjunction of increased tuition fees there has also ( as an agreement with universities) that they can charge more,
This Government has betrayed millions of people since taking power, but does anyone really think that Labour or the Diberal Lemocrats are any better?
It beggars belief why they let these Tory Idiots' in to a NHS Hospital'...If i'd been a patient in that bed I have given CaMoron' a Bloody mouthfull..!!
We're struggling to pay for the NHS now...why because the govt. bailed the banks out of the shit that they caused in the first place (Robin Hood in reverse, the rich robbing the poor to give to the rich). And also for getting this country involved in wars that masses do not support....in the name of so called democracy.
its funny to see that we apparently have shortages of beds but when the pm comes they kick the ill out into traveloge. balls to cameron he is cluless and so is every cunt who thinks this country is fine when so many are losing jobs, homes
Hospitals are ment to be clean places so that Doctor was right to throw Cameron and Clegg out because they talk that much shit and are two dirty grubby greedy wee men out looking votes , they dont give a toss about that sick man in the bed they just want their photo taken beside him to put the image out that they care when they couldnt give a toss . Plus thats probably the first time they have been in an NHS hospital before as they both have private health care unlike the rest of us commoners .
Any type of virus or bacteria could be clinging on to the camera crews clothes and that would have been a disaster if the tie had made contact with the guy who just had surgery done.
The senior surgeon was having a go at the camera crew, Clegg and Cameron were fine - they were respectful of the health and hygiene regulations, the camera crew weren't and Cameron also asks them to leave.
I'm not a major fan of either or a fan of liebore btw, just pointing out who was being respectful and who wasn't.
Sad to see this episode and the outburst of the Doctor although there could have been a more gentler approach as a mark of respect. They are after all the PM and Dy PM.
Aw look he's rolled up his sleeves and everything! He was just about to do his working class pose and the doctor shouted at him! Don't worry David, you've always got injured Iraq vets to shake hands with.
The Tory-Lib Dem government scrapped EMA and raised university tuition fees to £9000, betraying election pledges and effectively pricing many of us out of education. Last year students, pupils and workers fought back with mass protests, strikes and waves of direct action. We were the biggest youth rebellion since the 1960s, and we aren’t going away. On November 9th thousands of us will march in London, Search facebook for "National Demo - Defend Education, Fight Privatisation" for details.
How has anyone been priced out of education? I thought that you only had to pay back the higher tuition fee's when you earned more then 21,000 a year, not before? Or am I missing something completely :(
And I've seen what people spent their EMA on. It went on Ipods, not their education. Rather then getting rid of EMA, they should have gave out travel passes and books rather then just straight money which goes towards what it wasn't intended on.
No offence but you have it wrong. Only the Lib Dems promised a reduction in tuition fees. I admit it is sad to see it rise but it would be difficult to have seen things work differently. We are paying for the loose pockets policies of the previous Govt. Good luck with uni and wish you all the best.
@lobbotekka2019 List of election promises the conservatives have broken is even longer that the Libdems. Do not get me wrong, i do realise that cuts need to be made but not as quickly and as harshly as the Tories are conducting, if they introduced a robin hood tax and closed tax loop holes then the cuts that would need to be made would be hardly noticed. Thank you for the uni wishes.
Both parties are in a marriage of convenience. If either had won outright then we could expect all their policies to at least come to light. Right now it is a trade off. Hitting the rich is always difficult. It must be tackled with logic. They employ and invest in the country. The Tories have gone after them with some policies including the agreement with Switzerland to tax offshore tax evaders.
@Anticutspublicity Fight privatisation? LOL. Instead of asking working people to pay for your education, why don't you just ask that the banks should pay for it instead?
@Anticutspublicity Fought back!? Well you certainly injured many innocent people, robbed innocent people, and basically vandalized innocent people's property. Well done.
@ReadyAimDuck haha no worries, the students as a whole were hugely against those riots, i also had some friends who were caught up in it so i know how you feel
@Anticutspublicity the fees are easier to pay back than before as you only pay when you earn more. Just like it was before. How is that being priced out?
Doctor seems like a rude prima donna, what's wrong with asking politely? I thought it was meant to be the 'Bullingdon bully' Cameron that was rude but he behaved admirably here. On the doc's part it was obviously just an opportunity for five minutes' fame anyway, otherwise he wouldn't have made such a show of it.

We're struggling to pay for the NHS now...why because the govt. bailed the banks out of the shit that they caused in the first place (Robin Hood in reverse, the rich robbing the poor to give to the rich). And also for getting this country involved in wars that masses do not support....in the name of so called democracy.

That doctor had every right to say that.
Any type of virus or bacteria could be clinging on to the camera crews clothes and that would have been a disaster if the tie had made contact with the guy who just had surgery done.
Better to be safe then sorry!

@Artognou Actually I WAS aiming this firmly at Cameron and Clegg.

Sad to see this episode and the outburst of the Doctor although there could have been a more gentler approach as a mark of respect. They are after all the PM and Dy PM.

@Anticutspublicity
KJRS1993 5 months ago
@Anticutspublicity
No offence but you have it wrong. Only the Lib Dems promised a reduction in tuition fees. I admit it is sad to see it rise but it would be difficult to have seen things work differently. We are paying for the loose pockets policies of the previous Govt. Good luck with uni and wish you all the best.
lobbotekka2019 5 months ago
@lobbotekka2019 List of election promises the conservatives have broken is even longer that the Libdems. Do not get me wrong, i do realise that cuts need to be made but not as quickly and as harshly as the Tories are conducting, if they introduced a robin hood tax and closed tax loop holes then the cuts that would need to be made would be hardly noticed. Thank you for the uni wishes.
Anticutspublicity 5 months ago
@Anticutspublicity
Both parties are in a marriage of convenience. If either had won outright then we could expect all their policies to at least come to light. Right now it is a trade off. Hitting the rich is always difficult. It must be tackled with logic. They employ and invest in the country. The Tories have gone after them with some policies including the agreement with Switzerland to tax offshore tax evaders.
lobbotekka2019 5 months ago
@Anticutspublicity Fight privatisation? LOL. Instead of asking working people to pay for your education, why don't you just ask that the banks should pay for it instead?

@Anticutspublicity Fought back!? Well you certainly injured many innocent people, robbed innocent people, and basically vandalized innocent people's property. Well done.

@Anticutspublicity Probably. Sorry - heat gets to you from the entire protests and everything. Got some family down in North London.
ReadyAimDuck 4 months ago
@ReadyAimDuck haha no worries, the students as a whole were hugely against those riots, i also had some friends who were caught up in it so i know how you feel
Anticutspublicity 4 months ago
@Anticutspublicity the fees are easier to pay back than before as you only pay when you earn more. Just like it was before. How is that being priced out?
