If my truck which has 350 hp were boosted to 500 hp it still wouldn’t stand a chance against a Corvette because it wasn’t designed for that type of operation. If you want to compare a Mustang then make it another pony car like the Camaro, and if you want to compare the Corvette then make it the Ford GT.
I like how they blame the mustangs 3 link live axle setup for not doing as well on the slalom esp cause its on flat pavement. They obviously don't know anything about suspensions. Much more comes into play than having an irs like sway bars, tire width and spring rates. And a live axle has some advatages over an irs and vice versa.

I like them both, but it dependes on who buys it is why they like it. i would buy a gt500 for the overall useabilty of it and the fact that it has more run inside an the rear seats and i would buy the vette for fun one the weekends. ( besides its so much eaisier to get laid in a gt500k so....yea)

@fordrulesf150 The reason they compared those 2 cars is because price tag, When you say through all the independent rear suspension and brakes and tires, take that money and do the same to the Vette and it'll still be on top, and cheaper at that. If you wanna compare ford and chevy then the Ford GT vs the ZR1 are in a closer price range. Lets see it..

The Corvette and Mustang are two very different types of cars. Why not compare the corvette to my F250, or better yet compare the mustang to the camaro? Oh wait Chevy was forced to stop producing those because they could not compete against a mustang.

@cabbagesftw They are vehicles with different purposes. The Corvette is a sports car while the Mustang is a pony car and the fact that they have about 500 hp is irrelevant. If my truck which has 350 hp were boosted to 500 hp it still wouldn’t stand a chance against a Corvette because it wasn’t designed for that type of operation. If you want to compare a Mustang then make it another pony car like the Camaro, and if you want to compare the Corvette then make it the Ford GT.

I like how they blame the mustangs 3 link live axle setup for not doing as well on the slalom esp cause its on flat pavement. They obviously don't know anything about suspensions. Much more comes into play than having an irs like sway bars, tire width and spring rates. And a live axle has some advatages over an irs and vice versa.
