I like how the first gen Lakewood blade looks on the roll around. As you said, Emerson, It does look like a giant Kool Operator with wheels. The blades are good on either fan. These vintage fans will definitely outlast most of today's junk, and they look better also.
Love they way the Emerson blade sounds on the Lakewood on high. Sounds just like a V8 engine at 6000 RPMS. As for the starup sound I still like the the startup sound with the P-25's blade better.
Interesting bladeswap Emerson! That Emerson rollabout looks cool with that
1st gen Lakewood blade! And the Lakewood with the Emerson blade sounded cool starting up! With the P-25 blade the speeds seemed like high, low and extra low while with the even heavier Emerson blade the speeds seemed like high, extra low, and XX low! Great show Emerson!
Seeing that rollabout with the Lakewood blades threw me, I though it was some sort of GE that I had never seen.
The Emerson blade totally changed the running characteristics of that Lakewood. I think it's deeper pitch than the P-25 blade as well. Plus the shape of the Emerson blade is quieter running.
I like both of those blade swaps...at first I thought that the larger fan really was meant to be like that, the plastic blade set fits in there real well. It seems like the Emerson motor would likely have more power than the Lakewood one though...does it seem like the metal blade runs slower on the Lakewood fan?
I like the startup sound on the lakewood

The first gen Lakewood box fan actually sounds like a V8 engine with the Emerson blade on it.

Very cool! Gotta love the star up sound!
Actually, I think the Emerson looks like a G.E. 5 plastic bladed desk fan. There are a few on YT...

I would tend to agree on the motor differences. Question to Emerson, is that rollabout equipped with a 4-pole motor? I know the Lakewood is 6-pole.
