Orphan was a great movie that was passed up as well. and thank god someone agrees with ma about final destination. It was beginning to think I was the only one out there what with all the negative comments against me.
Dawg, I am a senior and all my friends range from seniors to freshman, even though I hate most freshman. So it's the whole school that's head over heels for this movie right now. I don't think it is as bad as Twilight, though.
DragonBall: Evolution Nominated for Best Comic Book Movie.
The movie, while not grossing nearly as much as some of the other films nominated (Watchmen, Wolverine), still managed to somehow get nominated for an award with Best in the title. To vote for the film (if you really, really want to) you can do so over at Spikes website.
Yeah, this was one dismal year of high expections followed by low deliverance. In fact, the film Deliverence rather sums up this whole summer season, because the studios bent us all over and made us squeal like a pig.
Never been a Star Trek fan, but I liked that movie. There are only a few shining moments that saved this summer, but still, the bad outweigh the good.
jeremy you fucking trippin homie, you need to get your shit straight. you forgot all about the hangover, funniest movie this summer & one of the highest grossing, lol. just fucking with you
you know whats bullshit, its that they are pushing back Shutter island. why not push these other stale blockbuster flicks. i fucking love scorsese film, but damn warner bros., that was a pussy move.
these movies better than the summer movies of the past 5 years? so are you including summer 08 in that which had Iron Man and the Dark Knight? those 2 sweep the board of any movie this summer.
Yo I completely forgot about Angels and Demons even came out. But to me, this years best movie hands down was Watchmen. I know alot people were lost watching it but it's the best movie I've seen this year. That, and Distirct 9 was epic. Didn't see Star Trek.
My nutshell of summer movies: X-Men Origins: Wolverine: okayish Angels and Demons: Might see it due to liking Da Vinci Code. Star Trek: Spectacular Night at the Museum 2: No desire to see Land of the Lost: Maybe when I have kids Up: Need to see it, probably beautiful Taking of Pelham 1 2 3: Tony Scott=awesome Transformers 2: Do I even wanna see it? Ice Age 3: With kids, G Force: When high Public Enemies: Sweet
Too true with the big budgets. After Wolv and Termnator, I opted not to see Transfrmrs even though I was curious. I just don't want to encourage sellout movies anymore.
Best part about the web is that word of mouth travels so fast that people can totally counteract all the money that hollywood wastes on advertising shitty movies so that we see them in the first weeks.
I really hope that this economy turns us into consumers of quality, not quantity-cause I've had enough of the bullshit.
@DarthJones55 After looking back on summer 10, I would say it was pretty solid. We did have a lot of reboots, which got kinda lame after a while, but we also had Inception
i knew this summer was going to suck! still only three movies which i wasn't that excited to watch ended up being fukin awesome: Star Trek, The Hangover & Inglorious Basterds. I steered away from Wolverine, Year One, Harry 6, Transformers 2 (you don't have my money Michael Bay), and Bruno. I feel into a trap with G.I. Joe (terrible) & ended up a fan of Star Trek. Give J.J. Abrams, Tarrantino & Todd Phillips (Hangover) credit for being there to give us a great picture in a shitty summer.
Haha great video man. I completely agree. This summer was a pretty big letdown even though there were some great movies. Oh and I dont know if you noticed but at the end of your videos when you say you're not fucking around, the title says I'm Not. Fix that shit up man.
Thanks for the support. Hearing that you guys like my vids this much drives me to keep bringing them to you....And i'm not remotely done. More to come!
Yeah I saw G.I. Joe and I hated it even more. But you have to admit that you may expect more from a Terminato movie than from a movie that opens a franchise speaking about hasbro toys.
I love everything Terminator but what was honestly wrong with it?
It would have been lame & unoriginal if Arnold had gone back in time to save the day again! Especially since he's not really in the movie but the cameo was awesome.
Plus, while the action wasn't as good (although the end certainly was), the acting and storyline kicked ass.
For once, John Connor is no longer a brat, he's now a badass killing robots & rescuing people
Plus, like all the Terminator films, the 4th one used CGI to tell the story not just overdo it just for the hell of it (That's also why I hated G.I. Joe)
I would've liked G.I. Joe if it had been something like Transformers, not taken itself seriously or had a better director (Stephen Sommers sucks although I did like the Mummy movies)
Hasbro makes lots of toys based on movies (X-MEN, Star Wars).
I prefer them making action figures about Terminator as opposed to shitty STAR WARS action figures with aliens you never even knew were in the movie & could care less or a pathetic Darth Vader helmet or even lame Indiana Jones figures.
I like Indy & Star Wars but I hate George Lucas's efforts to make more money.
Terminator always needed expansion & I already want to see Part 5 & 6.
another one of your great videos here..even though i liked some of the movies this summer..i agree this summer could have been better..but hell i only seen 2 movies all of last summer (iron man and dark knight)..compared to the 7 this summer
The funny thing is that Hurt Locker won 'Best Picture'.

You should do a video about the movie rights that were bought by Disney from Marvel.
I think you might have some epic shit to dish out at that. And its just a suggestion.

Terminator Salvation: Enjoyable warm up
Harry Potter etc.: Damn you, JK.
Halloween II: Rob Zombie's gonna manipulate me.
The Final Destination: why bother, already seen it thrice.
Inglourious Basterds: Amazing spectacle
District 9: Best picture
I agree, Avatar may be 2009's last hope.

After that I did not understand why people think that 3D is gimmick. And than I saw Ice Age 3 and G-Force. :(

Like you humor but Terminator: Salvation didn't suck.
You're forgetting movies like State of Play or The International which were both good.
SeanConnery9000 2 years ago
Terminator Salvation SUCKED HARD !
DarkDarvor 2 years ago
Could you be anymore vague. Instead of having Arnold save John Connor for the 9000th time, Connor is a badass & the future war scenes were fantastic.
Plus, it was way better then shit like Transformers 2 or Wolverine or Final Destination (which sucked to begin with)
SeanConnery9000 2 years ago
I guess you never saw the POS that was G.I. Joe.
Out of all the PG-13 gimmicks, Terminator Salvation was pretty damn good

DonnieTheKing 2 years ago
First was dumb but decent, 2nd had lots of action & lots of Weisz, 3rd had lame plot but more cool stunts.
Either way, it's better then G.I. Joe

I sure as hell did.
Final Destination was worst then G.I. Joe.
There I said it
