as an editor I can field this... sometimes you lose your momentum and get stuck or you come up with ideas for other things that will just flow so you back burner one project and work on another til you get back in the groove of where you wanted to go with your original project...

this is Trailer for DF 3,4 and 5... unless Monty has decided to change the designation of video 5 to make it an extension of video 3... I am not aware that he has done this so until I know better... as far as I am concerned this is a trailer for 3-5...

With the direct quality you can see just how beautiful his work looks. The shot at 0:31, especially, looked pretty impressive and like it was taken from a PS3/360 title. Monty's work is stunning and an inspiration. Just watching the compilation of fights against the epic music is just wow. Dead Fantasy is a cult hit. Great trailer and I can't wait for tomorrow.

I used dvd decrypter to rip the footage monty gave me dgindex to index the .vob s avisynth in virtualdubmod to convert to uncompressed .avi, convert framerate, convert to rgb32, crop and deinterlace.... hmmm maybe it was already progressive i don't remember then I loaded it all into premiere exported in uncompressed .avi and converted it to mpeg 4 in TMPGEnc 4.0 express

well the only footage that has really been released as far as non hand held video cam footage is the DF videos from yuna800 and this one... He asked at AB not to post the footage I have til closer to his actual full release date. Technically he said not to worry about it so much so I COULD actually post it if i wanted but... it looks like its decent quality because it is. like I said he gave me the ok to make up some trailers with the footage he gave me at Anime Boston... so I have 3-5 on DVD tho I did have to tweak the aspect ratio a bit to make it more properly 4:3 this is NOT Camcorder footage. and thats why it looks so nice. Glad you like it even tho it really is just a rough beta til I can do a proper job. tho by the time i finish something decent he might be finished with the whole thing...lol

you know you are the second person who has seen this who said that... I already shortened it once but I suppose I might take the belt in another notch or two... like I said tho this is more like a beta of the trailer and its using beta footage since he hasn't yet completed the full release of parts 3-5 yet. so overall it may not be too bad... don't forget it is previewing all 3 of his most recent works not just one or 2.
