I remember Fisher's Big Wheel, we used to have one in Chardon a longtime ago until they went out of business in 1993, plus my aunt and cousin used to live in Streetsboro and I also miss Geauga Lake and Sea World.
It is interesting to how much has changed in 20 years. Nearly every business in the video is owned by another company now or is completely gone. I hadn't even realized how different thing are. Nice vid.

I love the 1980's.I was born in 1994 but I love the cars and music from back then. You were so lucky to be living in that time.Someday i will own a 1980's car, maybe a 1983-1984 Honda Civic Hatchback.Cool!
Thanks for sharing this with us! I love Both the cars and music of that vintage, much better than things are today. Myself I was 19 at the time..o how I wish I could go back in time :)
man take me back to this time! life was perfect back then... I was 8. I remember back then they used to play a lot more easy listening music on the radio. lol every 10 cars I see one of those GM station wagons, I still see them today. back then I used to think we'd have flying cars by now... man except for the internet and GPS the future sucks!
This part of Ohio hasn't changed too much since the early 90's, especially this part of Route 43. Very beautiful during the summer months, but dark and gloomy during the winter months. Macedonia was so boring growing up.
@uwtitanfan No, I was just using the battery pack on the camera. The audio was from the radio in the van recorded with an auxiliary mic held near the speaker. This was I believe a Hitachi full-size VHS camera rented from the video store. Previously we had rented a Panasonic, and then when we got our own camera it was an LXI from Sears.
@retrochad One of my family members own's a 1989 Ford Van just like the one in this old video and it still is a daily driver and your van had a r12 a/c system back then just so you know.
My grandma's van is who I'm talking about is just like this and It's all factory except for the engine parts
The radio is still there and the A/C has been fixed
I like the old van's
This brings back memories for me too because I was a kid in the 90's and I remember going getting to start the van for her.
@retrochad One of the most popular family cars at that time! At least every other of my friend's families at that time and the beginning of the 90s had a conversion Ecconoline, Chevy Van, or Ram Van. my dad always had Chevy Caprices and I remember always complaining why he never got a van! I love caprices now though.
Thanks for posting this man! I grew up in the 'Boro back then and it was nice to see it as it once was.

In 1989, I was driving a 1985 Buick Somerset Regal. That car would qualify for antique plates now!
We used to have a Big Wheel here too.

What model Panasonic camera did you have? And did you have it plugged into to the van? I heard alternator whine in the audio.
