Hehe. First M3 fighter I got in X3 Terran Conflict was the Barracuda Sentinel... then I moved up to a Nova Vanguard.
Though I wouldn't say what was the best heavy fighter... to me it's a close call between the Argon Nova and the Split Mamba. It's all down to personal preference.
@JamaicanMan18 what can u do in this i now this is 4 years ago. i loved EVE but could find my self to pay anymore and when i came across this on impulse my eyes were crying for it but. can mine and or deep space mine like u can in EVE or is it just mission type game plz if u can respound to this asap it be great cause i dotn want to get a game i no nothing about. thz and Happy Gaming.
@whiteangelhi well i play eve alot more than x3 now, but you can do alot in x3, the main thing you can do is missions, but those missions encompass things like mining, trade, combat. but you dont need missions to do any of those.
in any given moment you can go off and blow up asteroids then collect ore, or place a mining facility and collect it that way. or trade by building stations and producing things, or just flying your own freighter from a to b.
you can fly any ship in this game with exception to maybe 3 ships
you can fly a freighter around transporting goods, you can fly around a passenger shuttle, you can fly scout fighters, medium fighters, and heavy fighters (which this video is about) you can fly corvettes, carriers, and destroyers, but with most heavy fighters costing 1.8 million and up, and destroyers costly an average of 80 million, it takes a while to get up there.
as well as having the 3 different fighters classes, you can fly 4 different versions of those fighters, there is the normal boxcutter version, a vanguard version which is the boxcutter version with a ton mroe firepower and some mroe speed, a raider version which adds tons of speed but less shielding, and a sentinel version which gives you extra shielding but has worse speed and a little bit worse firepower.
some also have a hauler verson which can carry more cargo.
Cool, but you should have shown them fighting. And I agree, the Nova is pretty much the best M3, especially if you can get your mits on a Pirate Nova Raider. 145m/s, better weapon compatibility in the front lasers, better turning. The only downside is you lose 24 units of cargo. But hey, they're fighters, not freighters.
i would have used video, but the problem is i cant use capture programs very well, they make my computer suck ass, and i figured id jsut use a montage isntead of video, cus all the video i would be able to get would be the quality of my intro, cus thats from a handheld camera.
X3's pretty demanding on hardware, yeah. It needs some kind of offline-rendering (prerendering) facility like the Source engine does. Then lots more videos will appear with good performance.
Needs some annotations to describe what the ships are like, strengths, weaknesses, whatever. M3+ would be nice too but that would involve changing the video itself.
And does the Barracuda seem like an M3.5 to anyone else? It's lost in the void between M4 and M3, looking at the stats.
