Wow -- a high-quality video of The Church, live! I've loved this song for decades. The guys sound great, Steve looks great (in SHORTS!?!), and I am thrilled to see them still active, still kicking it. If only more people knew how awesome these guys are.

I remember the day I got into the Church :) I can't pretend to be a true fan, because I wasn't even born when they were around in their Heyday (see what I did there?), but I've got all their studio albums, and hopefully will get to see them live soon. I remember watching Donnie Darko when I was 14, there's a seen in the car, and he turns the radio on and 'Under the Milky Way' was on. I had to get hold of that song! When I did, I then spent the next 6 years filling the shelves! Love them always!
The best song of one of the best albums! Their is not a bad song on Blurred Crusade, it flows like water from beginning to end. I had the pleasure of meeting them on Gold afternoon fix tour and they are cool and down to earth as hell. Always a fan, they create music that gives you a mood with it. They always seem to put you in a place with every song and that puts them in a original category which is something I greatly respect with music. Live, they are worth every penny never a disappointment!
@Tengocuentadeyoutub The "guitarist on the left " as you put it, is the very great and very talented Peter Koppes, without which, The Church would be half as great as they are today, and have always been - just wouldn't be the same without him. Judging by your comments, maybe you would be better off listening to the Spice Girls or something !
Have tried and tried but cannot put how good that was in words, suffice to say i can't get enough of this version. Fantastic. So under appreciated by so many. So fully appreciated by so few. Thanks Steve, Marty, Tim, Peter ....love your work.
Anyone know what gear (effects) Pete was using this tour and how he was using the amps (any of them getting non-effected signal, using amp distortion, etc)?
JANGLE JANGLE. Marty rocks, but on this tour PETER ROCKED!! Spot on bass and drums---great version. Question: as a 4 piece, are they not (on average) the tallest band on the planet?
I was at the show later that night at Triple Door. I flew out to Seattle from Charleston SC to go with one of my best friends and fellow Church fan. Awesome sound quality. These posting are a real treasure. Thanks!!
Yeah... they always play this song and it rocks.... Much better than the original from way back in about '82.... Turned it into something quite else live.
epic

Don't think I've ever seen someone sing, play bass and do a full Proud Warrior yoga pose all in one song before.
