I believe the final scene showing the game creators and Earthworm Jim was a gag from Mortal Kombat 3 (I think it was 3).

Difference was that they slowly lighted the game creators from that game with a gong sound in Mortal Kombat.

This game is not hard- I beat it on hard mode without losing a continue after about a week or two of playing. For whatever reason, the game screws up as soon as I reach Slug for A Butt and I always had to go back up onto the top of the butt and get the extra guy that would respawn every time. The biggest problem I ever had with the game is the start of this last level. If I, a 14 year old kid who is partially mentally slow can beat it- I think anybody can. Just takes a bit more patience.

it's strange, I can't ever explain it. I owned both the snes version of this and the Genesis version. and I love the Genesis version at least 10 times greater.... I don't know. It is like... the snes version is too clean.... it just doesn't fit the game. I never got around to seeing the snes ending... and I'm glad I never did. the Genesis version is so much better.

Oh, I get the REAL plot now.

Jim finds a suit that makes him more powerful as well as finding a gun, Then he took the fridge's hook down with a gun to launch the cow out of the way in New Junk City, but the enemies in the game wanted to stop Jim from preventing the cow crushing Princess What's-Her-Name and in the end, he was too slow and the cow was launched way over the world so it would crush Princess What's Her-Name.

I get it now. I new it all along. Déja Vu was activated for Jim.

@HawtDawg925 I'm actually really surprised Shiny included that last animation where she explodes. This game was obviously directed at kids, so I am assuming they thought that kids would never even make it that far in the first place.

@TheActionGameMaster I don't think that's the case... anyway, my guess is because blood wasn't a big deal back then in games. (In Earthbound there is blood, that's rated E. [on the mouths of bosses] Even in Kirby there is blood at a secret boss!)

And replying to your other comment... you are a freaking god for beating the game on hard. I can't even kill Billy the Bin (First miniboss) on hard! Even with cheats...

@HawtDawg925 Trash monster is REALLY difficult on hard mode. As soon as the fight starts, get right next to him and whip him (while firing at any of the trumpets that drop down onto you to knock them away)- when he goes into tank mode and shoots anvils go the other side of the screen and fire. Now, here's where it gets tricky- he moves REALLY fast. Get to the other side of the screen, and stay put. Fire until he's about 3/4 the way over to your side and JUMP, so you dodge his uppercut.

@HawtDawg925 Plus I'm a loser IRL so it's not too big of a deal as far as finishing it on hard mode. Would have liked an even harder mode (1 or 2 hits kills you no matter what or something) because the hard mode was not too bad for me once I figured out how to kill Billy the Bin/trash monster.

Getting to her is a pain! And if you make the slightest miss, she hits you and you fall into the spikes! Also, this is one of the few games I thought the Genesis soundtrack had a better version of the music..

Actually if you slip up fighting her and fire too little or run out of ammo, sometimes you just DIE. She zaps you and you DIE. The spikes are actually LESS annoying.
