i agree with a plan to reward teachers, as long as it's up to the school after they get the resources. here in SD, our gov proposed a plan to give a $3500 bonus to math/science teachers as well as a $5000 bonus to the top 20%. This plan comes a year after he slashed the education budget by about 10%. As the son of a counselor at a high school, I know that most teachers receiving these bonuses would rather see the money go to funding activities and other areas that lost money last year.

This is an excellent plan. My local high school has a 60% drop out rate, this plan will almost certainly chop that down to a more manageable level.

Not raising the interest rate is good, but I would like to see more options for debt forgiveness. Student loan payments are strangling the average young professional. Forget helping the economy by spending if half of your check [the half not paying rent, utilities and groceries] goes directly to Sallie Mae et al.
