I thank someone just getting into video, this would be a good deal. I hope that Apple expands this application to its previous glory that Final Cut Pro was. I think if they had named it Final cut Pro express it would have been a hit. And then came out with an expanded version of the same functionality of Final Cut Pro seven they would have taken over the market. Was Steve jobs even in the building when they made these decisions?

I was going to upgrade from Final Cut Express 2 to FCP X, but after reading so many incredibly negative reviews by the pro videographers & editors on-line I have decided to investigate AVID. Not Backward Compatible!!?!! It's more like a completely different program than an upgrade. So disappointed in APPLE..

Also, when reviewing a piece of supposedly 'pro' software. It would probably help to actually render your audio properly, and make sure your script is performed properly. The left channel is screwed, and your said 'Final Cut 7' instead of X in your wrap-up.

Terrible review. It only focuses on the rendering, and not on the actual issues like no XML, no third-party plugin support, no colour and motion.

Apple has just lost THOUSANDS of pro-users to Adobe and Avid.

Was this edited on Final cut pro X because this was terrible. Every Final Cut pro X video i've seen has messed up audio, and the audio drops as well as the clips. This looks so bad, I hope they still continue making final cut pro express.

Now Apple Combined the simplicity and the easy work of imovie into the special technique and advanced effects. Final Cut Pro X is a wake up call to a new era of video editors. I loved FCP7 but the render was really a dread. So it's a huge improvement

I mean I almost got Final Cut Pro 7 last week, and since Im switching to mac I thought I need something more than iMovie, because editing in Windows Moviemaker was very poor for my needs. I need something pro. Is this FCX the best choice for me right now?

@LimaCinema i think imovie would be good for you right know. imovie is soooooooo!!! much better then Windows Moviemaker. i would try imovie then if you want to upgrade u should but im just telling you Final Cut Pro is a complex program you would need someone to help you learn it

I can understand people not liking Final Cut Pro X cause of being so similar to iMovie. But in my opinion Final Cut Pro 7 and all before are the most pain the ass editing software.I may not be a hacker or any thing but I can figured out Adobe After Effects,Sony Vegas but FCP7 Is a pain for me personally so I am glad Apple is moving forward and keep in mind this is my opinion so don't give me any retarded mail cause cause I don't give a damn about what your opinion is so you shouldn't about mine.

@NewyorkcityAce Its because FCPX automatically encodes the audio as surround sound instead of the standard stereo :-) If you change the settings to stereo then the 'crackling' disappears. Hope that answers your question!

@rightttt .because i played music after, and i found out the problem whoever uses final cut pro x and exports in dolby surround and uploads to youtube has this problem so whoever does upload to youtube should do it in stereo quality.
