@Rob23 I thought I remembered them announcing him being back with them 2 weeks before the event, and him, Perfect, and Heenan being in Demolition's corner in a match against two jobbers the weekend before. I know Tunney scrapped Ax from the team after the event.
This is how it's done Mr. Perfect (R.I.P) was awesome and great wrestler, great on the mic and cutting a promo he doesn't get nearly as much credit as he deserves,
Thank god they got rid of the gimp masks before the ppv. McMahon mustve really thought people were dumb enough not to tell Demolition apart just based on movement and their attacks.
Ax was not supposed to be a part of the team. At first The Perfect team was Mr. Perfect (feuding with Kerry), Macho King (feuding with Warrior) and Smash and Crush (feuding with LOD). Macho King was injured and instead he did a promo at Survivor Series instead of the match.
Ive been watching for a long time and never heard this story. Savage must of been hurt for quite awhile because Ax was part of the promos for weeks up to the event. Not a last minute replacement. Although, he did leave the company right after this match. Id also like to point out this interview was done postmatch where Kerry Von Erich and Smash had a match. Both teams got involved and Perfect was wearing an orange singlet. Here it's yellow. WWF's production botch.
@JonathanVonErich I didn't know that Macho King was originally on that team, never heard that rumour, dont get me wrong, I'm not calling you a liar, just I hadn't heard that - I thought it was Ax on that team all along??
@Rob23 Well to my knowledge Ax was threw with the WWF soon after SummerSlam 1990, and I have read that Macho King was indeed the original choice to be with Hennig, Smash and Crush. Only logical, since Macho and Warrior were starting to feud with each other. I have read that Macho was injured and wanted some time off, therefore WWF brought back Ax for the promos and matches leading to the Series. Only what I have read years ago. :)
crush was awsome here shut up moony nobody wants to hear from you anyway,s true true

@Timmyboy505 Well, even Warrior didn't have paint. As crazy as he is, he probably snorted it all, lol.

Anyone have the segment where Demolition announced that they rehired Mr. Fuji as their manager?
johnissoevil 5 months ago
@johnissoevil I think Mr.Fuji began managing them again on the actual day of the 1990 survivor series.
