Well, we tackle it in a probabilistic manner. What are the odds that this sort of thing happens? I mean, it's a divine intervention of which we have yet no sustainable evidence of; it's more than rare. What the odds that you are either mistaken or lying? Much greater.
We should never believe claim on the sole sincerity of the person who says it whenever the claim is lesser likely than the chances of him being wrong (whether he's intentionally lying or has just made a mistake doesn't matter here).

God forgives sin, but he does not take away the consequences of sin. For example, God may forgive me for taking part in a fraud, but that won't stop the Police knocking on my door, charging me for the offence + subsequent imprisonment. The repentent Christian will still be punished for breaking he law, even when God forgives them. If yr neighbour commits adultery, God may forgive her, but that may not stop her husband divorcing her.

I wouldn't recommend you worship Harry Potter, he didnt create the universe and he didnt send his son to die for you. How do we know that the rocks have been around for billions of years? Nobody witnessed their formation or observed them millions or billions of yrs ago. The Bible has been around a lot longer than 2000 years. Many of the books in the Old Testament were written by Moses, centuries before Christ. However, many people observed the life of Christ and his subsequent resurrection. There is documented evidence for the life of Jesus Christ.

With regard to the host of the show deciding there is not enough evidence for God, the Bible says there is enough evidence in creation alone. For example, God may forgive me for taking part in a fraud, but that won't stop the Police knocking on my door, charging me for the offence + subsequent imprisonment. The repentent Christian will still be punished for breaking he law, even when God forgives them. If yr neighbour commits adultery, God may forgive her, but that may not stop her husband divorcing her.

The Bible has been around a lot longer than 2000 years. Many of the books in the Old Testament were written by Moses, centuries before Christ. However, many people observed the life of Christ and his subsequent resurrection. There is documented evidence for the life of Jesus Christ.
