nice vid,i seen some revision of the snes have svideo output and no rf output, mine have just av one,no rf at all,the cd player never came out,it was for the stelaview, sort of streaming relay.
@mrbeanchannel when i connect the snes to the tv with rf the screen goes all fuzz also how do i known what channel to chose (3 or 4) because my snes dont have a channel selector on the back
I use the RF plug and I can't seem to get my console to work. ): The console turns on fine (the red light's shining), but my TV doesn't show anything on the screen. (it acts the same whether I've plugged the console in or not). My RF cable is just a cable which plugs into the SNES, and the other two (white and yellow) that plugs into the video and audio of the TV? I'm missing something but don't know what. Any help would be appreciated :)
@Solitaryhowl Hey, you need to tune the console into the TV. It wont show up automatically. Make sure you are not using a HD TV unless you are using AV.
@Solitaryhowl To hook it up with RF, you need an RF cable (NOT the red, yellow, and white, those are AV) and a RCA to Coax adapter. Plug one end of the RF cable into the RF slot on the back of the SNES, and the other end on the RF slot on the RF adapter. Plug/screw the Coax end of the adapter into the antenna slot on your television. Make sure the games have been cleaned with Windex and a qtip. If you are using AV, you need a Nintendo Multi Out cable.
Try an Acid bath; this is a mthod i have used on my 5 SNES consoles and it works a treat! Take out the main circuitry and bathe it in pure pharmacy alcohol. Give it a shake whilst in the alcohol. Should get rid of any dirt or grime that CAN cause a lot of problems. Just leave the console aside and allow time for the alcohol to evaporate before turning on...might help. If it doesn't, then you might need to research the problem more.
That cd thing was never made. What it actually was was the prototype playstation by sony. It was originally going to be an add on for the snes, but nintendo decided to work with philips rather than sony (worst decision ever apart from releasing the virtual boy). Sony then made the cd attachment for the megadrive as a way of saying "fuck you nintendo" and then released the playstation as a stand alone unit.
well there was a addon for the super nintendo but only in japan. it was called the Statellaview and it was a broadcast station that let you download games, however it didnt sell very good so thats why not many people know about it.
make a proper video on how to set it up. please

I NEED HELP!!!!! My SNES isn't turning on. I plug everything in, but the red dot won't come on. What do I do?
LinktoSonic 2 years ago
Sorry, if the light isn't showing, you either need a new power pack or the console doesn't work.
mrbeanchannel 2 years ago
If I were to get a new power pack, how would I put it in the system? Would I have to take it apart?
LinktoSonic 2 years ago
It's and AC adapter
mrbeanchannel 2 years ago
Oh! It must be the console because I have 2 AC Adapters and none of them work.
LinktoSonic 2 years ago
I can explain the white around the greenish color on the SNES. It just happens to things that used to be white when they get old.

@LinktoSonic Just get a can of circuirt board cleaner, they make it in cans so there is no need for bathing the system

there was no winner in the 16 bit wars.there was resons why the snes sold more.over 10 millon people bought the snes just to play street fighter.
and the snes was still selling years after sega stoped the genesis and was concentrating on the saturn.
