No matter what opinion people have about al u know leaving ignorant comments, love him hate him but u have to respect him he brought first black and latin coaches gave people second chances and was tha face of football no nfl without al thats y he will be the most memorable face in football.i didnt agree wit sum decisions he did but it happends, rip al davis u were tha last emperor raider nation just win baby n fuck tha rest.
Zeepold15, man you nailed it, love him or hate him you had to respect him. I was fortunate to get to talk to him for 5 minutes once, he was cordial polite and he loved the Raider fans,
RIP Al, a true friend to the community , a great ambassador for human relations , A Legendary patriarch to the game he loved. He did not make you to be great , he allowed and convinced you that you were. He mentored confidence not only to his players but to the Fans. When he lead, he didn't always know the way, when he followed he may have strayed , but together with his players and family accomplished more than anyone can imagine. Football was a microcosm compared to what he did in life.
Yes, Al Davis had an impact, but towards the end of his life the game has passed him by and he got senile. View the press conference video after he fired Lane Kiffin.
@abloom38 The game didn't pass him by, his hand picked selections are still making plays every Sunday. Research the Kiffin situation, we won the grievance. That is what the press conference was all about, firing Lane for Cause.
anyone hear about the rumors that the raiders r at least thinking about moving back to los angeles?
