  • Kevin Shield's is waaaaays bigger

  • Comment removed

  • You'd think with all those pedals they could play some crazy shit but no instead they just

Cover some overplayed hard rock song and play some other generic sounding hard rock songs

  • Que hermoso es tocar la guitarra sin tanta cosa y sonidos grabados....

dentro de poco ya no habra necesidad de tocar la guitarra lo haremos con botones.

  • kill the man who played back in black

  • I would forget where everything was...

  • @grilguy not even :D

  • The edge has the largest pedal board, its huge.

  • set em all on!!

  • I think the Edge's pedal board is larger.

  • Ive seen bigger

  • @grilguy Not agreed.

  • It used to be you only needed a Guitar

  • So the most difficult thing to do is to play clean I see...

  • Wow his tone got sucked out... that's crazy... good cause tho and rock on... screw u guys who say line 6 suck, I have a flextone3 plus with shortboard and even the limited extension cab... stereo is great and it sounds awesome and the spidervalves sound awesome, so don't bashem especialy if u like bogner cuz they designed the spidervalve, kinda like egnater designed the b52 at100 which I loved and was also not crap... but to each his own...

  • great tone-> a couple pedals = great sound |great sound -> shit load of pedals = crappy sucked tone.

  • 0:46 Look How Cool That Guy Is!!! He's 30 And Playing A Song That 12 Year Olds Play!!! Haha XD

  • I was very disappointed after watching this video. The title lead me to believe I was going to see ONE large peddleboard. Not 20 different ones chained together. Whats so bad about Line 6??

  • @grilguy well sure, if you only want about 5 different sounds...

  • even if all the pedals had true bypass the tone would get degraded to shit.....

  • name me the 4 most essential pedals please :)

  • @patrick34page Wah, Octave, Phaser And Chorus!!!

  • @patrick34page distortion, wah, chorus, a phaser or flanger

  • NOW TURN THEM ALL AT ONCE!

  • @grilguy Isn't WahWah a pedal ? xD

  • @grilguy Although this IS excessive, even for post rock.

  • @grilguy You, good sir, do not play post-rock :3

  • NOW TURN THEM ALL ON! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • RIP tone.

  • @grilguy dont forget those patch cords! you need those more than the pedals!

  • haha he strums one note (waits for a couple minutes..........................) then it comes out the other end into the amp!

  • bha..wtf is that supposed to do?

  • One Line 6 POD X3 probably has that much effects, but the difference is, you can't use so many effects at once!

  • i wonder what will happen if you play with all of them on MAX

  • waste of electricity

  • Perhaps there were... (dare I say?) over 9000 pedals...

  • I'd say there's at least 9000 pedals right there...

  • @grilguy Unless you're in Muse...

  • I've seen larger...

  • what if they turned them all on?............whenever i turn my chorus flanger phaser and delay on its already saturated enough......

  • my pedal chain only consists of a distortion and a wah pedal, is it too minimalist or is it a good setup by itself?

  • @ermonski Buddy, if it works for you and what you do then it's a good setup. I've seen guys on Beale St. in Memphis playing through a DS1 into a crate amp, and he blew me away. It's not always about the tone. Tone is important, but skill and creativity account for about 97% you overall sound.

  • @joshrogers87 thanks! I'm a person who likes to compensate technique for lack of modulations.

  • @ermonski Man, a lot of the greats weren't tone junkies, they just had gear that got the job done. Some guys just went straight to the amp. In the end all that matters is if you have the chops to back up the 1000's of dollars you are spending on gear.

  • @joshrogers87 I'm quite a minimalist since all I want is a good whole clean tone and heavy chunky distortion and a screaming wah, that's all I want. btw I use a Beta Aivin HM200 pedal and a Morley Power Wah powered by a 1Spot pedal power supply. that's all LOL.

  • This pedalboard has been brought to you by: "The Edge"

  • what people probably dont know is that if you turn them all on at once, your amp wil actually burst into flames.

  • Too bad they didnt use them all at the same time.

  • @KilluhSoda wonder how that wuld sound XD

  • i would probably just use 3 of these pedals and STILL sound the same haha

  • @grilguy thats definitely personal opinion!!

  • should be a great demo for signal boosters at the end of that chain

  • these are just a bunch of chained pedalboards. fail.

  • very gay

  • awesome bass player

  • Just 4 Pedals Is All I Use!!! Boss ME-50, Digitech Whammy, Dunlop Cry Baby And Roland GR-30!!!

  • @grilguy

Wouldn't it depend on the player and the material being performed?

I ask because I own three guitars(tele, strat, LP), have a wah, tuner, comp, 2 overdrives, big muff, phase 90, CS9 chorus, flanger and a DL4 delay plus a Radial loop switcher and a a/b box split to either my 1969 Marshall SPL100 or my Boogie Mark IIb combo.

Why would you assume I don't need all of these?

  • inferiority complex.

  • Very silly

  • Fail...this is not the largest pedal board...it is just a bunch of pedal boards chain together...

I thought the largest pedal board would be one huge board with a shit ton of pedals...

  • how the fuck are you gonna have like 500 pedals hooked up at the same time... and then just use generic amp brand overdrive! BOOO! Everyone wants to hear him turn on all the pedals and make a sound that would satan's balls drop like potatoes.

  • wouldnt you think, with all those pedals. he would at least have a half decent sound. or at least play through somthing like a mesa triple rect..

  • @RideTheLightning1995

actually, will all the Boss junk(buffered, not true bypass) and considering the length of all those unbalanced cables, I'm surprised you can hear anything at all next to white noise.

But this tone sucks which says one thing.

It's not the gear, it's the player.

  • doesn't matter how many padels he's using, i don't like his sound

  • "Line 6" and "Sound Incredible" should not be in the same sentence. haha

  • haha 100% agree cheers mate.

  • have u heard the valve?

  • Lol, be nice. They do some great stuff. Also some not-so-great stuff. Just like anyone else.

  • I've got a kickback bass combo, and once you turn all the modeling stuff off it sounds pretty damn good.

    But not incredible, no.

You have to pay for incredible...

Also the green line 6 delay modeler is great but only if you need ducking delays and esoteric stuff, better with keyboards really.

  • I see a lot of DL4's out there....

  • @djr5027 especially not the valve series.

  • @djr5027 ok, what if i say that my line6 DL4 sounds fucking incredible?!! ha

  • @djr5027 yeah because that would be an understatment

  • @djr5027 I agree 100%

  • @djr5027 hahahahah

  • @djr5027 What a ridiculous comment.

  • @marcmandin Ridiculously truthful. I guess you could argue the Vettas sound alright. Maybe after some patch mods.

  • @djr5027 unless "does not" is between those

  • @djr5027 There are several Line6 pedals that sound incredible, namely their delays and modulations.

  • @djr5027 haha, line 6 is shit

  • @CreamyCommotion no it freaking isnt, why are people so negative about line6, believe me, if you say that you havent tried one. they are so awesome! i got the spider IV75 and the IV series doesnt sound that digital as the I, II and III series. man crate sux more than line6 for sure!

  • @djr5027 you shouldnt be on youtube

  • @djr5027 Whats wrong with line 6?...im new to music and still learning thats why i ask.

  • @djr5027 The fact that you can't use some gear doesn't make it "bad gear" or something like that... Everybody has there own limitations...

  • i think its fine to have loads of pedals. they just need to be loop to a midi controller and connected using good cables. i don't think there will be any signal loss. we do it all the time in the studio.

  • All that distortion prolly just comes from signal loss!

  • @RobinsonBluesMan

If they were sensible, they could use a line selector to bypass everything to a short cable for the clean sounds rather than sending the clean signal through every effect.

  • this is bull shit....why would you want pedals on the floor??? put this in a rack. screw pedals...besides wah :D

  • I think racks are inconvenient and if far away from you, kill improvisation/spontaneity.

  • fuck that guy playing acdc. whatta buncha gear dorks... learn to play.

  • interviewer looks like he just got out of bed

  • this is what happens when you give a bunch of gear to a group of non musical geeks.

  • wow, think of all the signal loss between the guitar and amp....pointless, it probably sounds like shit anyways

  • hahaha all the pedals are shitty anyway. WHATS THE POINT

  • sax player wasnt very impressed by the bass solo

  • I wonder what would happen if you turn on ALL the pedals at once?

  • lol something tells me not goodness

  • poo?

  • it would be a mess i think

  • I don't know, but what i ASSURE is that all these pedals turned off would be able to easily turn a good old fender or gibson's tone into a fuckin cheap samick's

  • hahah exactly the use of those pedals is worthless if you dont have any talent.

  • OMG WTF whats the use the wont make ur sound any better if have that much padels.

  • oh, its just a couple of pedal boards connected to each other, it isnt too difficult to do that. i was expecting like a really hugeass single board like frusciante's board

  • ... and the only sound i can get for the pedalboard its a fuckig distortion, what a fucking ironic

  • kinda looks like my studio setup, haha

  • wow... wtf is the point of a good guitar amp when you have ass-loads of pedals

and the line-6 gives you hundreds of different tones.. but there all crappy

  • a good amp equals good sound. Crappy amp, crappy sound. They're all different. And by the way, THEY'RE not THERE.

  • so how exactly you gonna change from one effect to another if you need about 10 in a gig? you gonna keep pressing the button on the amp?

  • It's cool and all, but a little over the top haha

  • lol wopudnt ther b far too mch capitance wit all those lmao

  • No one ever turns them all on at once. It may sound like pooh but if you go through all the hassle....

  • yeah i have 2

great pedels... if made of plastic

  • Next year maybe the world's largest guitar rack?? I'd love to see it.

  • it would probrably take up 6.5 houses. noone would be able to get to most of the controlls!

  • Nice but exagerated....i'de love that, but i prefer my combo:

    Guitar, Cable, Amp......"Rock" On! ^ ^

  • eh i function better on just a few less pedals

i like my setup of :

    volume> tuner> super chorus> blues driver> dd-7 delay> ds-1 distortion

hoping to add a tremolo, pitch shifter, phaser, wah, and compression; maybe a reverb or an eq as well

but any more than 12 pedals is just almost outrageous

  • well i have 11, are you saying that if i incorporate 2 more i go from reasonable to ridiculous?

  • FAAAA !!!! nunca nunca voy a tener tantos asi .. tengo uno y de pedo !! la puta madre

jeje igual te volves loco .. con todo eso .. no sabes ni ke pìsar..

    chau

  • You can NEVER have too many pedals.

  • yea you can, i dont think its such a good idea to have wayy to many pedals, like this idiot

  • TOO MANY PEDALS

  • it was said that omar rodriguez lopez has over 300 pedals in his studio so i think he wins.

  • dude all big bands have hundreds, thousands of pedals in the studio

  • i highly doubt thousands

  • dude see any big artist studio, like for example in the movie some kind of monster metallica's studio- there are pedals just laying around everywhere, also look at jim root of slipknot, he has a tour of his house on youtube and he has boxes of them.

I will admit i'm exaggerating- not thousands, just a bunch!

  • ive seen both of those and i can say most of those pedals arent one persons pedals, they are definitely a huge mixture of kirks, james', and bob rocks pedals. i didnt see that much in that jim root video as i remember he had a box and a tiny board in his rehersal room. omar is one man has his own studio and uses alot of his pedals live, you should see his live rig, its huuuuge

  • turn them all on!!

  • i have a dream of watching this guy perform, and rolling a bowling ball across the stage. it would activate at least 12 of his pedals, guaranteed, and fuck up his performance

  • dude that bass play was awesome

  • hoooollysh...

  • the host is BAKED when he interviews the GearTrap guy

  • who was the bald due playing bass at the end ? anyone know ?

  • Damn! He's got alot of pedals!

  • haha i figured it was :D just had to put it out there :D

  • Haha the behringer pb1000 holds 12 butttttttt has 13 connectors for pedals... take that B!!! lol

  • that guy at the the end looks like the 50 year old grandpa from the bowflex commercial

  • he knows multi pedal effect does exist right?

  • yes, but why would you get a multieffect if you can afford those?

  • I would just turn them all on, one after another, and make a huge cacophony of sound:D

  • holy toolcake convention...

  • I bet they just got a whole heep of cheep pedals and only did close ups of the good ones.

  • Hope it's all true bypass, hahaha!

  • On the contrary, I hope the pedals are buffered well. True bypass will let the resistance build up, and with a signal path as long as that, it's going to naturally build up resistance, regardless of true bypass pedals.

  • unnecessary

  • Are you JauxKing???

  • I just dont get it ? Why would anyone want so many ? You must lose a shit load of signal quality and would you ever use them all? My moto keep it simple ...That said i do use a DD , overdrive and WAH...oh and a loop for jammin to thats 4..one space on my board left ????

  • are u asking what you should get next? cause i would recomend either another overdrive, or a reverb pedal.

  • Have a bit of reverb on tap built into the amp. I just think the DDELAY is enough for me. Have just forked out on a new guitar so no more puchases for a while at least ,Check ut my link and let me know .I dont know if ime useing too much dd or maybe its just personal taste

  • well i would say if you are set on the reverb, you should look into another overdrive maybe or a heavier distortion. That way you can have one for a lighter overdrive and a distortion for some higher gain solo/lead stuff.

  • thats youre opinon some people like lots and lots of effects if everyone stuck to what you said then evryone would be sounding the same not musicly but in tone terms.

  • I'm glad you're happy with your Line 6 amp. I actually use a Line 6 Pod XT Pro and run direct to the board for my live shows. It works for that application, but the distortion isn't that great, and it just doesn't deliver when I run it into a tube power amp into my Marshall cab. I guess when it comes to an actual guitar amp (not running direct to a P.A. or computer) I just prefer a good tube amp. Solid state and amp modeling just aren't quite there yet, but getting better.

  • Line 6 amps are crap. Why would you use one if you have all these pedals, anyway?

  • dude line six amps are amazing i use no pedals and my amp sounds awesome. you have obviously never played one.

  • @ governorgilf

flextones and vettas are great amps. hell, the tube spiders aren't that bad, although there's much better for the price.

  • Hey, that's the visual sound dude :D

    Cool thing

  • Im suprised there was no signal loss or interference with all that shit.

  • that would've been funny if he had played a NOFX song hahaha

  • i wish i had all those petals my petal board only holds 6 and i only hav 5

  • wow...i would love to have all those pedals!!! it would be a dream come true!!!

  • sick

  • Comment removed

  • sounds like the Sweet Home Alabama solo tone there.

  • that guy fucked up Back in Black!!!!

  • I agree with the last bit! I mean .. c'mon. With such a rig you'd be a douchebag NOT experimenting with all of that. I mean, play some classic rock on your tiny home rig!

  • I know really that guy sucked

  • Worlds largest pedalboard and you play acdc...

    shame on you ;)

  • they should have turned them all on

  • i think omar's might have one more pedal lol

  • ok

there have to be over 100 pedals there and the only thing they demo is distortion

come on let's hear something wierd!

  • you've got everything ther i guess

  • stupid

  • i wonder how much is that worth

  • I got a wah and a noise supressor.

  • I know this isn't the point, but if he did he would be turning up the volume and that would probably kill the amp as it would have too much going in it... I think.

But yeah, otherwise, it would be awesome :)
