  • And alas, the duality of man is displayed in this song. For when the army of darkness rears its ugly head, the masses embrace it as the forces of order, instead of the heralds of their doom.

  • I imagine Light goes to the train tracks. He listens to the oncoming train, contemplating suicide. The sound, the last sound of the old, pre-Wily world he'd hear, reminds him of his father's time. The clangs of Wily's machines remind him of mining. And his father's death. And his dream. And how it came to this, with the clangs of robots. With the synth, we see a fast-forward of Wily building up his empire- lights blaze by, machines fly overhead. Light's heart beats, with his internal conflict.

  • I am writing a book, and for every chapter I will reference a Protomen song, You guys deserve that much,

  • Anyone else notice the similarity between this and "Here comes the arm"?

  • This would make an awesome movie.

  • And the train... Just how subtle that little piece is, as the train slowly changes.

  • Reminds me of Age of Wonders soundtrack :)

  • Gotta love how the instruments change into synths, showing the progress of the city after Light is pretty much driven out, and Wily becomes a dominant force.

  • This is seriously one of my favorite instrumental songs ever.

  • @authressintraining another good instrumental song from protoman is funeral for a son
