I had the thrill of seeing her in Chicago five times. I remember as a child being told that her magnificence was as simple as the way she could turn her hand. Not too long before she passed, she sat near me at a restaurant and that hand so gracefully went up to get a waiter's attention. That tiny gesture took my breath away.
