i dont sweep that way i like to just hit the 15th with a up stroke then pull off to the 12th and continue with the upward stroke that you dont the same note twice and its not as taxing on your right hand just a though dont hate me
Sweep picking got to be the coolest technique EVER on the guitar(well it is in my book)!!! Look at those solos you can shred with this tecnique(look up the solo for Winter Madness, The Nail or Deadnight Warrior). Man, sweep picking is SO cool! But still kinda tricky at first though. :-)

I found it quite useful.Two hours ago i cannot even make the first exercise,now i'm doing quite well the 5 chord pattern! (Quite well= not too badly)
