@Drakcell999 That happened to me too! heres my tip: what i did (took me like 1 1/2 hour) that i kept reloading the autosave from when i entered the door to the pit and once nocturnal started talking i didnt push a single button, i did this until every god damn thing was completed.

@BlakeyT53 There should be a glitch on the sides of the opening. Use Wirlwind Sprint so that you don't fall down and die

So I figured I would leave this quest for later because I wanted to use that certain item. I came back after finishing the main quest and it turns out that the door won't open at all after speaking the the Nightingale Sentinel.

@DarkonXBL Figured it out. You have to go to the left side of the door. Theres some wierd glitch or something and you can jump onto pilgrims path. You'll know what I mean when u see it.

If you're having problems with karliah leaving the room as you enter you may try this as it has worked for me. Just as the ebonmere enters stand on the southern part of the room, so make sure you're facing north, this is because karliah spawns or atleast should spawn close to you making her interupt and say "yes fellow nightingale?". Just try and interupt here and she should stay there and not leave.
