LOVE Elliott... but this song is rather ironical now that I listen to it again. And I don't mean that in a negative way, I'm just saying. Anyone else see it? ;)
I guess in retrospect it's easy to view Elliott Smith as a tortured soul, whatever and while you can't help but feel sorry that he felt that he couldn't go on (if that was the case) I personally think we should just be thankful he left some really beautiful music that will live on...please buy his albums! They deserve to be heard

i wish he'd mixed the guitar louder when playing live, man. Often can't hear all those beautiful parts. Gorgeous voice though.
