All iPhone 2G models are jailbreakable (not tethered).

iPhone 3GS shipped out: After October 22nd, is TETHERED.

iPod Touch 3G is TETHERED.

To determine if your device is tethered, jailbreak with Blackra1n, then reboot. If it requires you to jailbreak again, then it is tethered.

No, the iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch 3G and 2G 8GB shipped after september are tethered, not the iPhone 2G
