i got this virus on my laptop, and it freaked me out. I watched this vid on my main computer till it said to open task manager right after u restart the computer and end process and delete the file extensions . I knew this would work before even trying it... thank you so much !! This was easier than i thought, comeon virus i needed more challenge lol ;p

lmao got this in just normal traffic with a fresh install. won't allow updates either if anyone is curious. seriously, i got fire fox, flash player, silverlight and what was said to be java (from what appeared to be their site, wasn't sure i even needed to get it but did anyway). and no, it wasn't porn :P.i think i'll wipe it again and re install on a fresh partition rather than run it knowing something may be lurking. hilarious, of all the torrents i have a clean system and to get something now

i started the comp. then run cmd quickly end the process before it starts is the best way. then delete all the files in the appdata and program files

OMG!!! it worked... well, sort of at least, i did the first few steps with the task manager, and whatever file that did not open, that looked odd in my computer, i just ended the process for it, then after a little while of ignoring the computer, it disappeared ... O.o

Thanks a million. This tutorial is very straight to the point, simple, and it worked for me like a dream. I must admit I had to try it a few time because the MS Removal was running so fast. I could get into Task Manager but was not fast enough to end the process before MSRT would block it. So I just moved quicker and was finally able to end the process and delete the files. Just got rid of this stupid thing. Found easier way. Do a system restore. Simple. All this does is it basically puts your computer back a few hours in time. You put it farther back if you like. Make sure your system restore point is before MS TOOL was installed. Restoring your computer will remove any recent installations or any other weird stuff. Your documents and earlier installations will be perfectly OK. Trust me on this. :)

After coming up spotless in a scan in safe mode, I didn't know what the next step was...of course google was the logical one :P . I went through another process that I found on bleepingcomputer.

I thought I'd do this just to be safe and found the top file (very similar naming to yours, only a few letters off) was still there. I deleted that.

BUT on my task bar if I click "Show hidden Icons" and then "Customize" It's still listed as a program, does that mean it's still there somewhere?

I didn't have any virus protection on my computer and all these messages started popping up saying I had threats on my computer, etc., and then a screen popped up offering me to download virus protection.
