  • @BrazilianScopel yt took off the original track,copyright....try...Scott and Paul Burrowfields Ayr Scotland

  • Around how much would this be sold for without the scratchplate and with 2 horns instead of the 1?

  • @INVDR try the baileyguitars.co.uk website for any quotes on prices, you might have to send an e-mail, contact details are on the site, hope this helps.

  • i want that

  • sexyyyyyyyyyyyy

  • Great! those frets look great too,Dunlop? dimensions?,any suggestions about the shape of headstock- you like? i have some doubts about my guitar, thanks

  • @despot62 I think the frets are a medium, dont know the maker, will try and find out. As for headstock I tried many shapes couldn't make up my mind, so I went for the open book style which I like.

  • That is absolutly breathtaking. Is that top spruce?

  • @personNumber0123 yes spruce.

  • Beautiful guitar Billy. My comliments!

  • very cool!!!

  • Wow Billy, I saw your guitar in real life this week, but it's great to see it grow like this! Amazing! She's a real beauty!

I hope to have my impression of Paul's bass up here real soon.

  • Go to baileyguitars.co.uk blog

..... think it might be interesting.

  • Awesome! Very nice job. Are those clamps from Stew-Mac?

  • I didn't see any reference to working out fret-spacing. Which has to be one of the most important aspects and is the one thing that puts me off making a guitar. I'd probably use hundreds of pounds-worth of rosewood getting it right!

I do agree about the music though. S***ty isn't a word I use, but the singer does sound as if she's in agony somewhere!

  • There are several ways to overcome your fear of "fret position". One is to copy the fretlength from another guitar (keeping in mind that the length of the nut to the 12th fret and the 12th fret to the bridge have to be the exact length) the other is to use one of the free fret calculators if you want to create your own fret board length. Look up "ExMI's fret calculator" in a browser and it will take you to a site with free calculator. There are several in Excel as well... Good luck!

    Billo

  • hi were is it u live, i live in glasgow and i want to get into guitar building

  • shitty music nice guitar great work !!!!!!!!!!!

  • What a beautiful instrument- great work, bro!

  • Yes build your own guitar....with $10000 worth of tools. So easy!

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!!!

  • With some creativity you can build a guitar with a few hand tools. Less then 100.00 worth of tools. As a matter of fact, you can build anything from wood using nothing but hand-tools. So don't let the cost of tools stop you from figuring out how to build your very own hand crafted instrument.

  • good luck with that

  • really all you need is pocket knife with a locking blade, and you too can make a guitar just like the one in the video.

  • I designed and carved an entire violin in my kithen with one knife that I custom shaped. The arch was carved out , and the top was all shaped by hand carvng. The kneck was cut with a home made bow saw that worked great, and I used a piece of an old broken bandsaw blade to make it. The sides were shaved and scraped with a scraper made out of a piece of flat metal.

  • such a beautiful instrument...

  • notice the samson tabaco :-) helps when things gets stressy :-)

  • Can you make a john lennon's Rickenbacker 325 Jetglo copy guitar?

  • I wish, I could build my own...

  • You can... If you really want... Nobody holds you man.

  • My Congrats :),

    Nice Guitar :)

I was just wondering where did you the bridge part ?

    Thank You

  • carved the bridge from block of ebony

  • what song is this?

  • Evanescence - Good Enough

  • evanescene - good enough

  • What incredible fun.

  • omg...... i'm speechless... i want one so bad T_T

  • now i want to make an archtop electric guitar. that would be so cool.

  • Thank you all for the comments.

  • dear sir!

i will be making a carbon fibre neck and a wooden body - guitar will be a copy of framus az10. a very nice archtop..what do you think about carbon fibre neck? i think it is lighter than wood, harder than wood, but it look is not as nice as i would want to but..it will be very strong, and they say neck doesnt efect the sound at all ( 5% )

  • Sorry i'm a painter not a luthier

    try the mimf forum,

    hope this helps.

  • 8-o

That, sir, is one very nice piece of work.
