  • My problem with the fat suits is that they don't look real. You can tell it's a skinny person in a fat suit. You mean that there are no fat actors?

  • Whats the doctor suppose to say to you? Your health?

  • If your fat then your fat. If your offended by yourself for being fat then other people are gonna look at you the same way. A lot of people make fun of skinny people too calling them tooth picks. there is nothing wrong with being fat besides health problems but If you dont like being fat and feel offended by the truth then just loose the fuckin weight and suck it up. There are people going through a lot worst than "pie eating" disorders.

  • I can totally identify with some of what she said. When I was 14 or 15, I was overweight. I didn'y know untill the school nurse just looked at me and said I was fat. I was 20 lbs overweight and it completely changed how I saw myself.

  • Wendy is my cousin, really.

  • I have a torn rotator cuff, push ups hurt. I have a knee that I have to replace, squats hurt. I'm 150 pounds overweight at 5'7" and 40 y/o but I'd rather suffer the pain of working out than the indignity of blaming others for my own state of existence.

If she wants to be a victim instead of putting down the cheeseburger, fine, but she shouldn't classify the rest of us along with her.

  • Look it's fine for big people to embrace themselves but some fat people keep telling themselves "Only what's on the insides matter" and keep trying to give themselves that it's okay while they keep putting on the pounds. It gets to a point where it's not healthy. Where it can damage your body. When you're a fat person but you're still healthy it's fine but for people that are morbidly obese it's time to stop. 30 pounds is a HUGE number, it is a lot of extra weight and she treated like it was not

  • this is the propably the most stupid bitch i've ever seen

  • I have respect for EVERYONE regardless of shape, color, etc., but I don't know why some people who are overweight or obese consider themselves handicapped. I hate it and it is ridiculous. They are not disabled!

  • I think skinny pretty woman should go incognito as a morbidly obese women to educate themselves. "Don't judge someone till you walk a mile in their shoes" I agree.

  • At the end of the day, the fat suit can come off. Seriously, I'm not upset that people try to empathize. I don't remember the last time I got joked at or look at for being big. Granted I've shrunk down from 230 to 155. So, I definitely look a lot thinner.

I just think it's a stupid idea to try to pose as something you're not. I can't go around being thin, so why should they have the privilege of being fat, and think it's such a miraculous thing that they feel bad.

  • i agree with marionettepersona

  • fat people sure do whine alot

  • What makes you think that?

  • I hate people like this. I am overwieght and I can't remember the last time I got picked last for a sport. Granted I play football.

  • what film clips are being shown? what movie/ show is that???

  • It was a tv movie called "To Be Fat Like Me"

  • thx!

  • I thought you haad to be 100lbs. overweight to be morbid obese? That lady saying that people in a wheelchair are similar to obese people is a terrrible thing to say! People in a wheelchair cannot get fixed, fat people have options! You could diet or go to a doc for help. Laughing at someone who is fat is wrong but comparing that to laughing at someone in a wheel chair is even worse!

  • i think what she is saying is peoples attitude put her in that catergory she herself believe nothing to be wrong with her quite rightly so but its the prejudice she suffers everyday

  • Wendy kaufman better known as snapple lady is so kind... wendy go!

  • i met wendy she is so sweet and nice i took a pic with her .... go wendy

  • Thank YOU Wendy! i was so sick of seeing beautiful skinny girls do "experiments" and then cry like bitches and talking how much it hurts when they know that at the end of the day, they're not fat. wanna do a documentary? use real women who are fat.

  • I love you Wendy!!!!

  • I LOVE U FOR SPEAKING OUT! You are such a special person. Would you please send me a message and tell me how I could get your autograph. Thank you :-)

  • go wendy! gay people face a similar problem. there are very few "out" celebs because they "still want to work." for some reason, there is a general belief that audiences won't believe a gay man/lesbian playing a heterosexual lead role. and yet, in tv and films, we have such a HIGH percentage of straight men playing gay roles - and somehow that flys. then the straight actor is COMMENDED for taking such a riske part

  • omg. so true! i hope that gay men and women and healthy "fat" people are more recognized in the entertainment world. it's just not fair.

  • Honestly, I really do feel bad for people who are so obese...It's unfair.

They usually have problems that lead to their obesity- whether mental or physical.

However, even being even 30 lbs overweight is unhealthy O_O

  • I completely agree with your opinion on the fat suits and the harrassment that does go on, BUT i don't agree that we are "handicapped" I for one do not consider my weight a handicap.

  • I'M A FAT FUCK! 6'4" 400 LBS Male

i dont get picked on, because i wont let people pick on me. I do however notice that people wont look me in the eye.

fat people stare people down! look them in their right eye and dont blink! its intemadating as hell.

  • early education and guidance frm positive source..thats the solution frm over eating..

  • I'm fat, I'll be the first to say it, but I would never consider myself "handicapped."

  • Its called a Mocumentary you fucking fat bitch Mocos are a great movie style these days it's a great way to get throught to people, who care if there actors, and fat suits are fine why do even care holy shit you loser !!!

  • fat people should stop whinging

  • Handicapped? Hmmm... I will admit to a lot of things about myself....but I cannot call myself handicapped. I am lucky to live a lifestyle in an area where my exposure to ignorant people is limited. Therefore, I am treated better than many others in my weight class.

  • wendy is so kick ass.

i cant stand all those ppl that make fun of fat ppl

  • I like this lady, she's smart and active. I have a very close friend who is very much overweight and I have seen her struggle, I have seen her happy and being brave and facing the world, but as she got older her health declined. Stomach bypass is no picnic and I hope to God she makes it through this. Please do not make fun of these wonderful people.

  • DON'T GET FAT AND UGLY!the world will hate you!

  • Im all for feeling good about yourself but being overweight is simply not healthy.

  • Finally..your the first person to ever say this...IT IS NOT HEALTHY!!! people aren't being cruel...being fat is an eating disorder that can KILL you!!

  • Who gave that lard ass a job? Las Vegas= skinny people making money off lard asses. Hookers; fat johns, buffets; lard gamblers, porno; lard internet kids.

Remember Snapal= Fat Drink (all sugar)

  • Thank you Wendy! Love you!

  • i full heartedly agree with you, wendy. i used to be overweight myself, so i understand your frustration. it ticks me off as well.

    THE SNAPPLE LADY RULES!

  • I have to agree that the obsession thin actresses have with playing larger people is kind of disturbing. In my opinion it only contributes to the problem instead of helping it. Kudos to them for wanting to know, but it's more than knowing that changes things. Everything else I have a little bit of a problem with but the overall message is satisfactory.

  • Thank you for raising awareness. When I heard of this movie, I felt the same way you did. Thank you.

  • Its whats on the inside that counts... Its BigMacs, Woopers and chocolate that counts! Not, the way you eat youreself to death.

  • One, it's whoppers, dumbass. Second, I hate Big Macs, Whoppers, and most chocolate, and I'm big. Fuck you!

  • At least the skinny actors are getting some form of an idea of what it's like being fat. My problem with the people in the fat suits is much like my problem with people playing handicapped roles. They aren't encompassing the problems behind the weight problem/handicap problem. From my standpoint audience reacts to the handicapped character not as a strong person but in pity.Much like they view all fat people as lazy. Just my 2 cents.

  • Agreed!

  • I accept your main point here: thin actors in fat suits is absurd. So is cruelty in all of its manifestations. You're a remarkably articulate speaker; much respect to you.

  • Thank you for your wise and kind comment Urgelt. I have watched several of your videos and have such respect for you. YOU ARE MY INSPIRATION! Wow!

Hope to continue an online connection with you. Especially when I start to post vlogs in the near future.

    All the best,

  • Look at the bright side...both sides are getting hit now instead of just one. The sickly skinny are laughed at, pointed out, and looked down upon as well. Something we all have to face is that the issue will never go away. There will always be someone you come across in your life that will point out your flaws to make themselves feel better. Five stars to you Wendy!

  • ... I just want to say for many people skinny or fat people weight is a big issue and people do struggle with it a lot so please don't make all those harsh comments because we are all dealing with it and we are all human... Often the harsh words/comments/judgements we have gotten just make things harder... Just please try to understand...

  • YES! Thanks for your comment.

  • I really hope this joke is some sort of genius comic/troll trying to pass this stupidity off as legitimate beliefs.

  • Yeah the poor challenges and trials of these people who could do NOTHING to fix their "horrible disability" causing them to be picked last on teams in school. Could you be so ignorant as to think a person in a wheelchair wouldn't put his fucking blood sweat and tears into walking again if it was even a remote possibility? All you'd have to do is eat real food and maybe actually walk.

  • You have got to be shitting me. The doctor is a bad person for saying 30 pounds "overweight" is morbidly obese, so that somehow means gain 80 more? Try a fucking reality check, being a lazy slob wanting everything handed to you because you have no self-discipline is NOT the same as having a legitimate problem such as really being handicap or in a wheel chair.

  • I think that people have lost sight of the fact that being large is often the result of underlying problem causing an eating disorder - same as with anerexia- which gets sympathy...fat people get no compassion.

  • Thanks Debbie. You are a doll! lol. And so right,it's even more then compassion, it's about discrimination. Thank you for your comment.

    Love and Hugs to you,

  • agreed

  • Party3

Still, I'm not going to lose weight because of a couple crazies. If I lose weight, it'd be because I'm unhealthy, and I'm not.

Still, it's something to think about, this crazy, genocidal mindset floating through the heads of Generation Vexed. I call them Fatdolf Fatler. Funny AND true! :D

  • LOL. Thanks for your comments!

  • Part2

Recently, I have seen the true, ugly nature of society: right here on the internet. People can say what they want and not get any guff for it, they don't need to censor themselves, because anonymity rules. People call us "diseases," they treat us like trash, and some even rant about wanting to kill all of us because of how we look! All this because they can't stand the sight of us!

  • Part1

I have been one of the "lucky" ones to have only gotten made fun of once or twice for their weight maliciously (my friend makes fun of me for it all the time, but then again, he's 20 pounds heavier than me, so it's all good). I mean, I'm 6'2'' and 310 pounds, not many people want to mess with someone as imposing as me (but really, I'm a big softie).

  • these people can easily take the fat suit off but its not as easier for real heavy people. i honestly think they do that to get the "fat people" audience or whatever..anyhow its not about weight its about health.

  • Celine Dion, LOL Classic! I hate that term "morbidly obese" I am 25 lbs over and the BMI chart says I'm obese. I do have to respectfully disagree with being overweight being a handicap. Being overweight is an eating disorder just like anorexia/bullimia. You're awsome though Wendy. Love it when you're on Cavuto!

  • im so glad that us "heavier people" finally have a voice. Great work, keep it up girl!

  • Consider me your "fatvocate"!

Thanks krngrl2000...is that your real name? LOL

  • DAMN RIGHT. Documentary? Mockumentary.

I wish I could turn the cameras off, go home at night and unzip half my body.

  • I'm overweight, i'm a bit chubby and still present a bit of a baby face at age 19. A friend kindly refered to it as 'good fat'.

I don't get the beef with this movie? I can just imagine how much easier it would have been to use a recognisable, talented, experienced actress over say... The woman that played Elenor on the Practice (big female lawyer, rings in the ear). it may not be Authentic but its still just a movie, a story, entertainment.

  • Yes but this movie was called a documentary.

That is where the controversy comes from.

    Thanks for posting!

  • That is what I said on the show. And that's what Neil Cavuto has been fighting for also! Michigan is the only state where it's illegal to discriminate against being overweight!

I am going to fight the good fight for us.

And thanks for being part of it!

  • I saw the movie and it was ok, basically what I expected from a Lifetime TV movie. But I agree that the movie, and other shows of it's ilk, aren't really representative of what it's like to be heavy. Which just goes to show you that being overwieght in America is the worst 'crime' you can commit. It's the last acceptable prejudice.

  • Dressing up in a fat suit and thinking that gives you a real sense of what it's like to be overweight is really simplistic. Yes, you get a tiny glimpse of what overweight people experience but it's like being a tourist in Africa instead of living there. No comparison. Nice spot.

  • wendy ,keep it up ,you are wonderful, xxxxxxxTaylor

  • Love you too Taylor! You must know by now I am YOUR FAN!

You have the best and biggest voice on the planet! And I love big LOL

    Hope to see you soon,

  • I love Ya Wendy!!!

I agree with you completly, you are my role model

  • I'm so grateful I've had the privilege to meet so many special people. And they all come in different shapes and sizes. If I ignored people on the basis of their weight my life would never be as enriched as it is.

Thank you for reaching out. I love you back.

I hope to hear from you again soon.
