Whistle blows, the play is over. Correct? Whistle blows, the offense, now defense, stops chasing the player with possession of the ball. Correct? Either way, I'm a true Vandy fan born and raised. A Vandy fan can accept a loss and move on due to our past, but Franklin is paving a road for us that the SEC should be worried about. Bring on 2012! 'GO 'DORES' ANCHOR DOWN!!!

I agree with CJF on the questionable call regarding the blocked kick. I've never heard of, or seen, where it mattered who blocked the ball vs. who touched the kicker. Regardless, we didn't play our best game. We did fight our butts off and put ourselves in position to win the game. Congrats to UT for the victory. I was impressed with how well Bray played considering his injury. Vandy's future is bright and I love the direction we're heading. Go 'Dores ... Anchor Down!!!

Vanderbilt should've been allowed a chance to defend what might have been, the winning TN field goal, but as it turned out, the "refs" decided to circumvent the rules of the game. Like it or not, Vandy wasn't the one who blew the whistle and marked the runner down.

Franklin is awesome. Its a shame that UT couldnt find a coach like that. I'd like to see TN play Vandy as the last game of the year, and play KY earlier in the season. Mabe it would change TN's annual 'bowl run November'. If KY and Vandy have a traditional weakness, it's that they get worse as the season progresses.

Why would it be vacated? The Tennessee player intercepted the ball and returned it for a TD. You think that it shouldn't have counted because the refs made a horrible call then overturned that horrible call when it shouldn't have been reviewable? That makes zero sense. Bottom line...if the play had been called correctly...and that is the ultimate test of what is just...Tennessee scores the winning TD on the INT. That's what happened. Quit making excuses.

"On the last play of the Vanderbilt-Tennessee game, in overtime, the Tennessee defender intercepted the pass, his knee did not touch the ground and he returned the interception for a touchdown.... The play was reviewed as if there was no whistle on the field and as a result, overturned the incorrect ruling. By rule, if there was a whistle blown, the play is not reviewable."

Well, the whistle was blown... no doubt. What a steal! Vacate it!

The ref wrongly blew the whistle, which the SEC has already stated..... so they just said there was no whistle..... that was a legit touchdown that almost got taken away because of mediocre SEC officiating, which third times a charm, didn't cost us yet another game....

I feel sorry for Franklin. He has 30 seniors on his team and couldn't get it done against a Tennessee team that starts 8 freshmen. It is going to be hard to compete, but I wish him luck. Seems like a passionate guy. I hope he can maintain his passion with the lack of support in the stands. I was the KY - Vandy game and the support is abysmal. Good luck Franklin.

I like Franklin's fire, but he has no idea what a meat grinder the SEC is. He is not going to have Vandy kicking tail by year 2...period. Florida is down this year, and Tennessee is down this year. Vandy is recruiting better, but they are not catching up with the beasts of the SEC. LSU, Bama, Arkansas, Florida, South Carolina, Georgia, Auburn, and Tennessee. That's 8 teams Vandy will not pass no matter how much work they do. They may grab and upset here and there, but that's it.
