i don't understand why they ban drizzle and swift swim but don't ban drought and chlorophyll or sandstorm and sand rush to me it seems unfair

@rasengandx Because rain gives two different boosts (50% more to water moves, plus swift swim).

@rasengandx There are very few good users of Chlorophyll, and one user of Sand Rush. Chlorophyll users rely on Sun, something that boosts Fire, which is more common than ever with Ferrothorn. One of the best Chlorophyll users is Venusaur, who is bulky or strong but never both, so it is not a threatening Pokemon. Excadrill is walled by quite a lot.

Swift Swim is different. Kingdra, Ludicolo, Gorebyss/Huntail (Shell Break Passers), Omastar and Kabutops are all VERY powerful, bulky & fast in Rain.

@SteelPokemonFan Well I wouldnt say he's bad. Bring him in when one of ur guys dies with band or scarf and use him as revenge. He gets stab with Retaliate as well which kinda makes him even more worth while.

@DanteTheDarkAngel666 It's a Normal attack though, not only does Steel resist, so Ferrothorn gets a free switch, but Candelure switches in and gets a free revenge. As long as Shadow Tag Candelure exists, Choice Normal/Fighting moves are risky. Outside of DW, it could be a niche, but still, 85/90/90 defenses are not ideal when Fighting types are everywhere now. It also won't be bulky if it's a revenge killer.

@SteelPokemonFan Venusaur,like other Pokes with chloro,can use growth in the sun and become a very threatening mixed sweeper(If you didn't know,in 5th gen if you use Growth under the sun it sharply raises Attack and Special attack,it's like you swords dance and nasty plot in the same turn.)

With a set like Growth/Solarbeam/Earthquake/Sl­eep Powder,it's a scary poke under the sun.

@XxMforzxX Growth in Sun is good, but the problem is that you have to run a Sun team, which are usually not good. The omnipresence of Tyranitar and DrizzleToed forces Ninetales to switch out a lot, and when your weather starter is SR weak it is a big issue. Tyranitar's Pursuit also ruins it.

If they have these Pokes then you have to use Energy Ball (which would make Solarbeam pointless) to hit them both SE, but with Tyranitar's SpD boost, it won't do enough, and Politoed is very bulky.

I really can't stand hacking, I feel it really cheapens the game and Nature and IV Dittos along with EV items and an Everstone to succeed in breeding legit, 2 stat maxed Pokemon. Use the judge in Nimbasa to check IVs and ride the Royal Unova on Sunday (you can change the time continuously) for 7 trainers with level 60+ Pokemon and a Rare Candy helps to level up quickly. Mabye I enjoy the effort, but if you want to do everything legit, that's how. I'll help anyone who wants to try.

700 hours on soul silver and about 12 usable guys out of over 70 bred and trained. I feel you want for a return to breeding and pokemon with imperfect IVs Xerxes, that would make Pokémon so much more fun again, but without auto leveling and the amout of time it will take do make a single poke in B/W I just can't handle it. I do not have the time or desire to breed anymore :(( I have incredible respect for you xerxes.

Ugh, I never really liked PMP that much. I don't like how youtube has made the directors there greedy for money and Haydunn himself said in one of his recent videos "check out my videos because it makes me money." As soon as I saw Xerxes leave PMP, I unsubbed to PMP and most of the other pokemon youtubers except Xerxes.

I gotta say that with the whole depriving your own channel thing...the video is going out to the Pokemon community any way you slice it. While your own subscribers aren't watching it, there are people who enjoy Pokemon viewing it; and, if you're a good narrator, subscribers will come either way. I don't know. I don't upload so I'm a bad person to ask, but maybe I'm just not seeing the whole picture being merely a viewer.

@BRADvsBR4D Its not all about the Subscribers though. At least it shouldn't be, and its not for me. To put up a really good fight that fans of your channel whom have been there for 1, 2, or in my case 3-4 years and they DON'T get to see it, that isn't fair to them.

Sure other people do and thats great, but generally you take care of your home first before you reach out to others. This is more of what the three of us were getting at.

@th3Elimin8r Smogon doesn't make stupid bans, the people who make the bans are people who play the game a lot and play it seriously, if they think something is broken and makes the metagame unfair they ban it. I don't know why people think the people on Smogon are just people who are mods there, they get advice from the top players from their simulator, they don't just get together and decide "Yup I hate this let's ban it." "K!"

Not gonna lie, I woke up a little early just to catch Xerxes in the metapodcast. Can't wait for part 2. Great job guys.

To me, Pokesav and Pokegen are kind of like calculators. What bothers me isn't the use of them, but rather when someone doesn't understand how to breed or how to obtain certain movesets on their guys correctly. It would be really nice to see more people at least familiar with breeding mechanics.

Definitely don't mean to imply the community doesn't know how to breed properly (a lot of the players that have been around for a while are masters of it). I just get PMs from kids starting out and it breaks my heart when I explain the mechanics to them or link them to some videos they can use and they say "that's complicated, can someone just sav for me" :(
