  • Thank you Mr. Remp.

  • this gentleman is my hero

  • Notice how he never calls someone a "man" or a "guy".

    Males are Gentlemens.

    Females are Ladies.

    He has such class.

  • @ds10363 if for some strange reason i can't finish one i just cut off the part thats lit. At least with churchill's the flavor changed the two times ive had to stop smoking. I sure dont reccomend doing it. But if you need to then do it because i sure as hell like to smoke every part of the cigar

  • I'm new to cigar smoking and can't finish one in a sitting. Is it proper to let the cigar go out and finish it another time or day?

  • @ds10363 no that can ruin the flavor unlike pipe smoking i would recommend getting a carona(30 mins cigar) like he said then work you way up to longer times

  • such a civilized gentleman

  • Mr. Remp has to have the title of "Sensei of the Leaf." He is the consummate teacher. I would love to meet him in person and learn from him.

  • He is excellent to listen to.

And it takes me an hour and a half to finish a church hill!

Guess that shows how green I am.

  • This man is definitively an authority for me, he must be very fun to smoke a cigar with !

  • he has some time on his hands for a 2 hour gar

  • @MrLlanymddyfri He's an old man. Probably retired. Enjoying his remaining life in class.

  • @mrvideogamevideos

Indeed. Mr. Remp is retired from his work with various facets of the cigar industry, and he is now a consultant/expert advisor with Thompson.

  • @MrLlanymddyfri we ALL have 24 hrs 7 day weeks. that "cliche" is pointless.

  • haha I would pass out smoking a Churchill in 45 min...hell I spent over an hour and a half working a padron 3000 today without having to relight

  • Mr. Remp should be an advisor to the making of all adverts! I love all of Thompson's videos because any advice given is given with respect to the customer's dignity and always spoken from a true gentleman, not like all the other adverts today... Thank you Thompson Cigar & Mr. Remp! Your products and services are immaculate!

  • Churchill, 1 hour to 1 and a half hours for me.

    Montecristo no5, 40 mins for me :)

  • Al could beat Chuck Norris in a fight.

  • i smoke vanille cigars its delicious

  • THIS MAN IS THE MAN!

  • whats a good cigar and size for night time?

  • This guys awesome.... but for some reason he reminds me of Stan Lee.

  • the best cigar ive had was a monte cristo

  • Some of those times he mentions are the same as listed in Idiot's Guide to Cigars. I dunno about anybody else, but it takes me over 2 hours to smoke a churchill sized cigar. And this guy mentions the time of day being important...um, no. Time to smoke, yes, but time oof day...no. I've had an "A" size at 9am in the morning many times.

  • idk man...i take my damn time when i smoke...i dont remember the size but i think a 5-6 inch kuba kuba will take my close to an hour to finish lol

  • I wish he taught all my lectures at college. And I mean ALL.

  • Al, you are wonderful. My dad passed when I was four years old and this is like getting a lesson from him! thank you

  • I love this guy!!!

  • takes me 1 hr to smoke a robusto

  • On my way to school I would normally small just a light 80s ciggy. But on Saturdays with friends I get out my corona cigar and get a nice taste of that vape. I smoke it slowly and with care, I only puff it like three times then turn it off to try and conserve it for especial occasions. And cuz I'm broke mom won't give me more money lol.

    Cheers

  • it takes me 2 hours to smoke a churchill, 45 mins is too short

  • he makes me feel good when hes talking, its like a lesson i want to hear. i love these

  • @mmmbaileys I wish teachers were like this. Speaking so fluently, enhancing the experience of the talk with his own experiences. Picking out the pros of each cigar. True class.

  • is it measured by milimeters

  • @0wn4g33 Ring gauge is actually expressed as sixty-fourths of an inch. So a 50 ring gauge is 50/64ths of an inch, 32 is 32/64ths (= half a inch) and so on.

  • thank you for the introduction to shapes - I particularly like how you emphasize time when it comes to the smoking experience - one of the best points to my mind. MM
