  • i can't understand this guy Jesus

  • 2005 review from the 80's? I liked my 05 Cobalt SS Supercharged but it wasn't luxury by any means and wasn't put together very well for the long run... I changed it out for 06 Z which I love...

  • nice car..... i wanna have one like those Cobalst SS Supercharged...

  • luxury wtf??

  • my car

    awesome

  • I HATE THIS CAR. I have a 2007 and it is the most UNCOMFORTABLE CAR I'VE EVER OWNED. I'M SELLING IT ASAP.

  • @Wrtbrgr87 i dont know what to tell u but get a newer one, they are improved, and if u dont like the cobalt, the svt focus, and srt 4 neon will only make u wish that u had ur cobalt back just saying :)

  • this car is CRAP! i have one and i cant drive it AT ALL! the power steering (power assist motor) is garbage, the transmission is junk, and chevy in not concerned with anyones problems!

  • Should of bought a Honda. They don't give you shit when you drive them. You just drive them and change the oil when needed.

  • to bad the power steering goes out a lot they need to recall this pos. anyone thinking of buying this car needs to read the reviews on it from customers.......there are thousands of people that are having massive problems with this car.

  • I own an 05 SS/SC, and haven't had a complaint about it. I've had one thing go wrong with it, and that was the muffler started falling apart from inside. That was pretty much my fault though. The stock muffler couldn't take the beating I was putting the car through. lol. And the power steering thing is an easy fix. There's a video on how to fix it if it ever goes bad. You don't even have to replace the module. It's as simple as cleaning a part off.

  • is it a stick shift

  • All Cobalt SS models come with a 5-speed manual transmission.

  • well, should I say true SS models. A little late on fixing this lol, but I just realized the comment I posted on here.

  • is this a pitch for old people to buy a SS? if so I understand it... but I really don't think that's the demographic chevy was trying to reach with the Cobalt in the first place... funny watch though...

  • Gotta Love that music, and that guy driving that golf cart

  • Small Luxury Division? umm..doubt that...

  • yeah i was gonna say that too...this guy needs to do more research before he reviews somethin..lol

  • nice:)

  • one of gm's best small cars . maybe the best . only thing for me is the dead steering , but hey.great engine in even the base 2.2 - feels like a small 6, and dosent work too hard as well

  • I got to drive an '06 Cobalt as a rental and was really impressed. Seemed like a much more expensive car and drove beautifully. Good power with the 2.2L. Ride was smooth as glass. Silky smooth auto tranny. Very quiet interior for an economy car. My Dad has a Chevy HHR, based on the Cobalt. It's better looking, but not as nice to drive. Feels underpowered with the 2.2L, cramped feeling up front, visibility is awful, and it's like driving a claustrophobic coffin.

  • You seriously think the HHR looks better than a Cobalt? wow..... I'm speachless.....

  • Heck yeah! The Cobalt has the boring rental car look that Chevy is infamous for. At least the HHR has that retro style.

  • @palebeachbum HHR copied the PT cruiser and completely fucked it up

  • Haha, try again. HHR has more cargo room, more power, and better fuel economy. PT cruiser is lame in comparison. It's based on the Neon. Need I say more?

  • @palebeachbum Doesn't mean the HHR isn't one of the most blatant copies in automotive history

  • I'm assuming you mean the HHR is a copy of the PT, but the HHR looks absolutely nothing like the PT. Both are retro interpretations of the old 1930's woody panel vehicles. There were many back then. The HHR simply came out when the PT was losing popularity.

  • @palebeachbum not to mention that they r also taking the pt cruiser out of production because it sucks lol

  • @296jayce Well, you gotta keep in mind that the PT Cruiser is a 12yr old design. The fact it's still around is pretty amazing. It hasn't changed much at all in so many years. It's a dated design. So yes, by today's standards it does suck.

  • I bought a chevy cobalt 05 ls sport package about a month ago. only 8grand! had less than 40 thousand miles on it.

EXCELLENT CAR!! Mines a stick shift which makes the car even better in my opinoin and gives u a little more power.

I got nothing negative to say about this car runs great, runs fast, and runs smooth.

Since i got the sportspackage it came with the spoiler, titanium rims, and an amazing system!!!!!!!

This car is great on gas also, which is a big gimick in 08.

  • @ryanzSTUFF wtf is an ls sport?

  • I've had 8 Cavaliers (91,88,93,84,85,96,98,98) and 2 Cobalts (05 base, 07 SS/SC) and all have been outstanding cars in reliability, economy and fun to drive. If something does fail, I never have a problem obtaining parts or servicing the vehicle myself unlike my colleagues who drive Asian and European makes.

My 07 SS/SC has been to track and run with and beat V8 Mustangs and Camaros without fear or hesitation. I think the Cobalt was an outstanding successor to the Cavalier.

  • why the fuck have u had that many cavaliers and why are u admitting it? i would be ashamed

  • POS, this car sucks and so does every car from GM. People should stop buying this shit to force the company to come out with better cars. It is an american ricer. A honda civic wannabe

  • wow man, u really need to read the rest of the comments, and reviews about this car before u open ur mouth to say somethin. so what do u drive...lemme guess...honda civc?? lol. Just go drive one and see. then you will know why its been dubbed the quickest and best value under $25,000. And why its only real competitor is the new WRX and the Mazdaspeed 3. nothing else comes close in this segment.

  • best value under 25,000? well... honestly the Cobalt SS is not for everybody... like me im 6'3 and work for GM as a PDI and i hate stepping in this car... for 25,000 i can buy a bigger... better... meaner.... well I work for GM but drive a Charger... should I be in Jail?

  • if its an RT or SRT-8, you are ok lol. And ur right, if u buy used, u can find something bigger with more power for that price, but im talking about brand new pricing.

  • i got the new 08 today :)

  • how is the car?? I'm thinking about getting one next month.

  • daughter and son in law have two 06's , got them new. aside from one with a minor power steering "thing" that was fixed in one day - they are very happy. think they nailed it on this car

  • I love my Cobalt <3

  • this is soo sweet. I got this car, and what you know da music to it is great.

  • I test drove one and loved it. it was a great car and Chevy really came up with a great car with this one

  • @Osbournejames u got that rite i just got a semi new 2009 lt cobalt and it drives good feals smooth and very easy to drive not a powerful race car but it is still a great car very comfortable for its size and it looks very nice!.
