I have the 2006 Passat, base model, its crappy, but compare to other cars, the quality is very good for its price

I don't like red interior lights. Don't like that you still need to put your key into enjection to start up engine. Exterior is superb

Bah, they screwed up with that analog clock on the dash. They should have put 2 cupholders and indicator switch like in passat CC.

Anyway, is this car much better than old passat? Its it more quiet , comfortable and refined? How is interior quality? Is the plastics better or is it still hard and cheap like in old passat?

@DocSomma I'm not, I'm talking about european Passat. And theres no difference between euro and american passat. I've seen the new passat few days ago, its basicaly the same as old passat inside , except for few details. I can help it, but i dont like it. Its too cold and raw, theres too much hard plastics. Everything is full of hard plastics except for the upper part of central console and few centimeters of door panels. Renault Laguna or Citroen C5 have much much better interiors.

They're worse than the ones for european market. Look at the pictures of interior of the US Passat thats gonna start selling soon. And say its not crap.
