In simple cases you can use layers yes, but then you have to know everything beforehand and have a very good en extremely large layer structure.

This plugin does not need that.

Secondly, the color of an object can not be stored in a scene, so not possible to color it differently (like the red color)

Btw this is a demo view on a early version.
