Most likely the horses are that skinny because of worms and other heath problems. Most of our horses (esp. my Arab gelding- He had very thin skin around his eyes and the flies drove him nuts) wore a fly fringe or mask when they were out grazing or in the barn when the flies were active. They really help.
@LuvMitch247 The kids and the owners themselves aren't exactly well fed either. They're poor and don't have the easiest life so their horses obviously won't have the easiest life. I'm glad the owners took the initiative to get the fly fringes for their horses but the fly fringes were donated and that's the only way they can afford these. These owners are trying but they need help. I hope I didn't offend you, I don't mean to come across as rude.
@TheOneAndOnly013 i don't want to come off as rude either, but you said it yourself. Neither the owners or their families are well fed, so what gives them the right to work a dying horse into the ground?
@cammarkgross That's their way of life. We shouldn't intrude on their way of life. However, i do agree what they're doing is amazing and helping the lives of all horses in europe. It's just amazing.
Thank you guys for all the hard work you do for horses, hope you guide people to the right path the way should treat their animals and feed them well !! most of the horses are too skinny to work :(
Well done WHW, those fringes will help so much. The poor horse at 2.00 looks very distressed and in need of a rest and more importantly water to drink.
