Ron Paul said people with AIDS should NOT be denied healthcare, just like a woman who is 9 mos pregnant should not be denied, the system should handle it. He said people have to be responsible, like smokers who usually pay more for health ins because they have increased risk. If a person engages in something that creates more risk, then they should probably pay more, but, he said, it's up to the insurance companies in a free market.

Hence charities keep to a single shot of a suffering individual as it's more effective in incurring sympathy. Expecting large numbers of us to surpass this human flaw in our compassion, and voluntarily donate felicitous sums to those AIDS suffering people is irrational.
@EllyMcCormack Donating to charity isn't a sacrifice - it's an investment. In order for an act to be a sacrifice, there can be no expectation of positive results for the person engaging an act.
Our 1-year old has Cystic Fibrosis. We donate with the expectation of a return. When anyone gives to charity, it is done with the assumption that the money (time/materials abstracted) is going to be put to productive use.

It is not a long shot by any means. Delegates can sway the votes of other delegates. It was a 3 way tie, santorum, romney, and Paul all got 7 delegates. Santorum has no fundraising ability and will be a non issue. Ron has steadily risen day after day, that's the trend, get used to it. And you can do a lot more than talk, you can register republican to vote in your primary if it is closed, and switch back to whatever.

Aspartame was at first a disaster to the FDA but then they replaced all the scientists with LAWYERS during the 70's to push their agenda, miraculously FDA considers sucralose 98% pure (bullsh!t). The reason I do not personally like the FDA is their plausible lazy and ineffective investigative efforts and resources. I don't agree w/ Ron Paul on EVERYTHING. @barellen5 plus, Big Pharma is connected at the hip with the FDA... heck, Big Gov't altogether, and they get away with getting a lot of their synthetic drugs passed. It's big business. I'm pretty sure you already know this since it's pretty evident everywhere, including television commercials, etc. The FDA is as good as a District Attorney in a court of law...You're still given subpar assistance and at the end of the day, they work for Uncle Sam and what Uncle says overrides your concerns.

The FDA will pass a dairy / cattle farmers line if their bacteria levels is a low enough count. There's been many desperate farmers that get away with just dumping straight up bleach into their dairy batches and get cleared by the FDA cause the bacteria count is then of course Low. This isn't new news. FDA's pretty outdated and don't like to be questioned.

@lostbot101 Drugs are mere chemicals, some are altering for well being and some against ones abilities to be straight and narrow. Stressors are chemicals. Chocolate and/or Making love releases chemicals. Anger releases chemicals. Pain, Lust, Desire, Jealousy, Rage sets off certain chemicals within the body. Are we going to police these chemicals from within as well? Criminal acts involving drugs should be reprimanded. Non-violent drug offenses should be reviewed closely and/or be pardoned.
MTV is another example of market place working its way. In 1981 when that network started, they had a policy of no blacks will be on that channel and they didnt until 1983 when Michael Jackson's Billie Jean video came out and it was a monster hit. @thejonesbunch I think part of the reason that Americans don't want to accept Ron Paul is that we've gotten lazy. We have forgotten what it's like to fight for our rights. I don't agree with everything he says about the laws because some folks will try to skirt around the issue so it's had to be spelled out that certain things are wrong. Ron Paul said people with AIDS should NOT be denied healthcare, just like a woman who is 9 mos pregnant should not be denied, the system should handle it. He said people have to be responsible, like smokers who usually pay more for health ins because they have increased risk. If a person engages in something that creates more risk, then they should probably pay more, but, he said, it's up to the insurance companies in a free market.

Hence charities keep to a single shot of a suffering individual as it's more effective in incurring sympathy. Expecting large numbers of us to surpass this human flaw in our compassion, and voluntarily donate felicitous sums to those AIDS suffering people is irrational.

Our 1-year old has Cystic Fibrosis. We donate with the expectation of a return. When anyone gives to charity, it is done with the assumption that the money (time/materials abstracted) is going to be put to productive use.
In sum, I think your sacrifice premise is flawed.

It is not a long shot by any means. Delegates can sway the votes of other delegates. It was a 3 way tie, santorum, romney, and Paul all got 7 delegates. Santorum has no fundraising ability and will be a non issue. Ron has steadily risen day after day, that's the trend, get used to it. And you can do a lot more than talk, you can register republican to vote in your primary if it is closed, and switch back to whatever.

Aspartame was at first a disaster to the FDA but then they replaced all the scientists with LAWYERS during the 70's to push their agenda, miraculously FDA considers sucralose 98% pure (bullsh!t). The reason I do not personally like the FDA is their plausible lazy and ineffective investigative efforts and resources. I don't agree w/ Ron Paul on EVERYTHING. I'm pretty sure you already know this since it's pretty evident everywhere, including television commercials, etc. The FDA is as good as a District Attorney in a court of law...You're still given subpar assistance and at the end of the day, they work for Uncle Sam and what Uncle says overrides your concerns.

The FDA will pass a dairy / cattle farmers line if their bacteria levels is a low enough count. There's been many desperate farmers that get away with just dumping straight up bleach into their dairy batches and get cleared by the FDA cause the bacteria count is then of course Low. When did you ever hear of a stoned driver killing a family of 5? Fact is at any given time there are 3 to 4 times as many people high on weed driving as drunk drivers and you still dont hear about this happening. Not saying that it is right, but why should alcohol be legal and marijuana not?

@lostbot101 I see where you are coming from, but weed isnt hard to get right now. The war on drugs hasnt worked and wont work they way it is now. Ron Paul wants to take it out of the Federal Gov.s hands(where nothing seems to work) and place it in the hands of states. He has NEVER said he would legalize drugs, just let the states determine the laws and enforcement. The media and powers that be are so scared of Paul that they will twist anything they can to make him look bad.

Prescription drugs are just as bad as some of the illegal drugs out there. You can't police people getting hurt or accidents or stupid decisions... people are going to do what they want despite the laws. as far as drug use. people will find other methods...

I was just saying that putting in laws won't completely solve the problem, it's up to the individual using drugs or whatever. There are laws for drunk driving and people still do it, and sadly people have to pay for others stupid decisions. You can't police something like that. There are gun bans in some cities, but criminals still get them. The problem just keeps going on...

@PacificMoceans Your right guns don't kill people. people on drugs with guns kill people. as I have already said. most gun crimes are linked back to drugs. I was robbed myself. for $200 and kidnap almost killed. so some guy could get his drugs...as I have said befor I am not for any of the other drugs. you go and talk to all of the people that has lost kids and family do to drunk driving...as I said befor 9 out of 10 time drunk drivers always walk away form there mistakes

@lostbot101 Drugs are mere chemicals, some are altering for well being and some against ones abilities to be straight and narrow. Stressors are chemicals. Chocolate and/or Making love releases chemicals. Anger releases chemicals. Pain, Lust, Desire, Jealousy, Rage sets off certain chemicals within the body. Are we going to police these chemicals from within as well? Criminal acts involving drugs should be reprimanded. Non-violent drug offenses should be reviewed closely and/or be pardoned.

In 1981 when that network started, they had a policy of no blacks will be on that channel and they didnt until 1983 when Michael Jackson's Billie Jean video came out and it was a monster hit. MTV didnt want to miss out on the ratings and advertising revenues it generated . Then MTV starting putting black artist on because of the popularity and revenues they generated.

However, tragic as that may be, the question should be, should Job Schmo citizen be forced through taxation to provide medical care for you loved ones or should their care come from self provided means or charity? It was not America's responsibility to cover their care.

@thejonesbunch I think part of the reason that Americans don't want to accept Ron Paul is that we've gotten lazy. We have forgotten what it's like to fight for our rights. I don't agree with everything he says about the laws because some folks will try to skirt around the issue so it's had to be spelled out that certain things are wrong. Just because we have these laws doesn't mean that we can't have smaller government too. It's hard work. It just has to be done without greed.

@pickerprepper I think what TMOT is doing is trying to avoid the usual insulting commenting that is usually found on YT comment boards. Further, I think that he is trying to foster reasoned and civil discussion in response to his videos. Like he says, this is his house. Just as if this were his actual "house" he can say what he pleases and throw out whomever he pleases-- he warns you before he even opens up the door. There is a very strong property rights and contract argument in his favor.

I don't know how Ron Paul is able to keep his cool, The man is constantly attacked. It's just a way for the media to keep Ron Pauls message under wraps so all his time is spent defending himself. Even though he is on TV his message is being blacked out, it doesn't matter if it's fox, cnn, msnbc, cbs etc...
