sorry but no. That's what the "books" say for is350 time it actually goes 0-60 in 4.9, even 4.8 apparently in some cases just check it has been proven. Sorry but IS 350 is a force to be reckoned. its is very tough to drive that vette as fast as it is in manual to beat an IS 350, bottom line automatic does the job quick and you will have to be perfect on the vet to win by much if any at all. When you see an IS 350, you will look at it a bit differently now. IS 350 does below 5's i promise u.

an IS would never take a vette at the track reguardless of how much u make like lexus, one of my cars is an 92 accd cpe ex JDM built H22, and i love walking Is 350,but they are strong up until around 125-130, and that when they see major taillights, true story, also have a 03 M5 with the goodies on it ,but i know not to even consider jumping on a C6 Z06, they are wicked

The Lexus has a 4:08 final gear ratio versus the Vettes 3:42, which is why the Lexus does so well. The Vette has at least 40-50 more RWHP and it weighs substantially less. It should have won the race if the driver was good, but the Lexus is quite impressive none-the-less.

Out on the street it won't matter much. Both will be fun to drive.

The IS350 is not underrated on horsepower. Not like the 335 anyway. They put down around 255-260, which is right in line with an efficient RWD car rated at 306. The reason they're fairly quick for what they are is the very deep final drive ratio, which is also why they start to fall on their faces after around 110mph.

@IS350King The IS350 is a great car for sure, but it is still a Lexus—which means you have a car that is very reliable but handles poorly for it's class/competition and provides a numb driver experience. It's no slam, Lexus knows who it's audience is, and they're not the hard core driver enthusiasts. I would buy an IS350, for my wife. For myself i just can't live with the numb driving experience that plagues Lexus cars.

I've been watching lots of drag videos of these IS350's, and they're pretty darn impressive. As for the c5 vette drivers ,give the Lexus credit. Stop hating on good foreign competition. Funny...Most of us turn the T/C 'off' to get better drag times. T/C is cutting power (like ABS is unlocking brakes) to the wheels to avoid spin...so it's SLOWER. Keep it off, figure out your best RPMS to throttle response and watch your times drop.
